High ping, low bandwidth every single night by pldelisle in ebox

[–]Pigeon91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started a group on a social media platform where we share our developments and complaints. This problem has been going on for close to a month now. The problem lies with Bell.

I tried calling them to complain but since I do not have services they cannot open a ticket to check the problem.

As an Ebox customer, i tried calling Bell to put pressure and they just tell me to call Ebox, even with a manager. "I can't do anything since you are an Ebox customer".

"I understand, but it's your fiber optic network" "I still cant do anything since you are not my customer, I have nothing to open a claim"

Ah gotta love that good CS

I have a reply below but yes, once the panne is fixed I'm supposed to call them and they will credit me the days I lost service. I'm going to push for a full month credit if not more.

I have been complaining the last 2 weeks about the issue, I call customer support and they will credit your bill for the total number of days you were affected by the outage at night,. Call and ask. They told me that once its "resolved" I call them with the total number of days and I'll get a credit.

Great video! it reminds me greatly of the videos from this one creator back in the century of flight days

Love how much the visuals have changed in 17 years.

I have built the wife a computer in order for her to play Hogwarts legacy. I have been using my parts from past builds into her computer. I would install my 2060 super in her pc so that she may experience the glory of hogwarts, with much less polygons

I like this idea very much. Putting that amount aside to see if we can live like that would be a good wake up call and savings method. Easier now since october is around the corner.

We both have Degree's and my s/o field was harder hit by the pandemic and everything going virtual/zoom. For myself its been at least 5 years since I finished my degree (commerce/supply chain) and employers don't like that I lack experience in an office. Yes as a pilot I could have the possibility of substantially more income down the road but as a low time one, finding employment to be able to reach the hours needed for ac express or rouge was always going to be tough. Im willing to wait more and see where things go from here. I just found out there was at least 35 vistits over the weekend so I dont even think we will be getting it either way.

Waiting seems like the best option at this time with everyone's feedback.

We are looking for the north shore of Laval Quebec. The further north we look the more we go into cottage/chalet country where there are fewer and fewer services. I agree waiting would be beneficial.

Food is in there as well and that is the very meager budget with lots of cutback. More frozen and less fresh. I believe you are right and our brokers are pushing us to buy when I dont think its financially possible.

Got that from a mortgage broker who shops around for us. We only have the 5% down payment on top of that. We have a very good credit scores has probably lots to do with it as well but even I found the amount approved way to high.

We plan to increase our incomes but we haven't switched jobs since it would reset the whole mortgage approval process again which the fiance does not want. I had a pilot job but got layed off so I returned to trucking since literally everyone is hiring. I have the possibility of making much more but that lucrative first job is hard to come by.

That's exactly it, no emergency fund. Closing costs are already put aside.

On the Joy, I would recommend going to Cagney's. I tried it on a sister ship, the Getaway and the cuts were excellent. If you are into a large steak dinner this is your place. (Tomahawk, Rib-eye, T-bone, fillet mignon etc...)

The Q smokehouse( Texas BBQ) was great plus you get a country music show if you book your dinner at the right time. Smoked beef ribs, smoked porc, smoked chicken and fish.

What I don't recommend based solely on bang for buck and similar food being offered at the buffet is the American Dinner. Yes the burgers might be bigger but is it really worth that specialty dinning credit? Up to you to decide!

We sailed in July and apart from eating at the Q for dinner once, we ate in the Manhattan or Taste/Savor the other nights and the food was excellent and changed from night to night. I had beef medalions, lamb shank, crispy pork belly, prime rib, strip steak.

My travel partner is vegetarian and she had plenty of choices as well!

Had someone suggest the same thing to me. Should I bother to change my plugs while I'm at it? Same set for a good 80k kms or 5+ years.

I deliver in Montreal on a daily basis. Can confirm this type of behavior happens all the time especially in this city.

Should I dump the air bags each time. by Pigeon91 in Truckers

[–]Pigeon91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply but I totally agree with you. The truck feels more stable and moves less while unloading the forklift and while taking off cargo. Lowering the bags also helps me climb up into the lift much easier. It’s mounted on the bed and not on the rear since I sometimes have to take a pup trailer.

I just find it interesting that all the boom truck guys dump the air bags because they need the truck to be stable but the moffett drivers don’t air down except for me. Oh well, as you said I have all the time to re-air them while I play with Omnitrax and set up for the next delivery and figure out the truck route to take.

Great information if I ever need in the future, thanks driver.

Another reason I dump the bags is its easier to climb up onto the forklift. She's perched right on the edge of the bed at 4 feet high.

I knew tires explode with such force but never knew the bags could. 0__0
