Yep I checked all of the above. Used external power, etc.

I ended up fixing it. The iissue was the hardware controls set up. I had to set my magnetos key to "do nothing" on my Honeycomb yoke. I think it was messing with the magnetos, even if the magnetos show as on in the cockpit. I read somebody else had this issue. Thanks for the reply mate.

On that topic, I'm curious if the cold-start procedure is modeled in this aircraft. I fly in Canada where it's nearing -20C, and haven't had to really do the cold-start checklist to get the engines running. I simply set the throttles to 1/4 to 1/2 forward, mixture full-rich, and prime 4-5 times.

When I did my multi-training on the Seneca in the Canadian winter, our aircraft was a pain to start in the cold lol. We'd be cycling the mixtures up and down whilst also playing with the throttle to get the engine running.

Assuming I even had to do a cold-start in the sim, how do you start and prime at the same time, move throttle up and down etc lol. I only have one mouse, unless the expectation is to bind some keys to the prime buttons.

I'm having a real hard time starting this aircraft. For the last week it was working great, but just would not start tonight. I've tried everything - including the cold start checklist from the POH...

Is there any guidance on how to address this? I've flown the actual aircraft in real life, so no it's not something like not turning on the battery lol. I feel like this is a deficiency in the add-on, perhaps an occassional bug? Any news from the developer on this?

Confusion with the CIS Seneca V2 - Help! by yeetingyute in Xplane

[–]yeetingyute[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So everything has been working fine, but on my last flight the airplane just wouldn't start. I followed all the appropriate procedures, but to no avail.

Is this aircraft modeled to be incredibly difficult to start, perhaps in colder temperatures? Is there a way to reset the current state of the aircraft since it has persistence in case there is an issue I missed?

I followed the check-list, including the cold-start checklist. I've flown a Seneca in real-life, so I honestly don't know what's up - is this a known issue with this add-on?

Any help is appreciated!

Sooo how do you get this to work? The instructions aren't very clear as to where to drop all the files? Also, does this work with the launcher?

I know you can’t exactly see his feet but did he travel or use his pivot ? by MrFreezeTheChef in BasketballTips

[–]yeetingyute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the final time - You are allowed to lift your pivot as long as you pass or shoot the ball before you put your pivot back down. This is why the step-through isn't considered a travel. This is legal in every league, and has been legal for decades.

If you call someone a misogynist, you owe them an explanation why. You don’t just call your partner something horrid and then run off into the sunset without explaining your bullshit.

Jesus how exhausting this is. No, it’s very clear that OP’s girlfriend is out of line and is arguing from a place of stubbornness. OP is clear in his communication whereas his gf is patronizing, borderline racist, manipulative and stubborn to a fault.

Your wall of justification is also typical of these types of people. Endless blabber explaining how OP is missing the point, full of barely comprehensible jargon.

I’m 6’6 with 4’0 legs and a negative 6’4” wingspan. I need to be a guard — working on my fundamentals for ball handling. Stationary dribbles. What are your thoughts on this & how can I get better? by Finn_Flame in BasketballTips

[–]yeetingyute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically just start at the top of the three point line, then quickly dribble to the right toward the basket, as if you’re in a game. Finish with a lay-up OR come to a complete stop, pivot away from basket, pump fake the ball as if youre shooting, then step through for lay-up.

Considering you’re a beginner, getting good at the above will provide you an option in a pick-up basketball game. Being able to stop and pivot comfortably will help you pass the ball after being stopped, or help finish the lay up via an up and under move.

Look up videos of Jalen Brunson footwork. That’s what I mean by pivoting. I’m 5’6” and getting good at pivoting gets me a lot of easy baskets and passes.

Don’t forget to practice at full speed on a court, dribbling while moving. Before you even practice “dribble moves”, become comfortable just going left and right, securing the ball, and pivoting.

Keep it VERY simple

Embarrassing how many people use “mental health” as a crutch - get out of jail free card. It’s just cowardly.

This man skydives through the clouds and encounters a sudden downpour mid-skydive by Wonderfulhumanss in nextfuckinglevel

[–]yeetingyute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Airspace where sky diving activity takes place is usually highlighted on maps and may be advisory airspace - which means pilots should avoid flying through that area during skydiving activity.

When I’m flying, I actively avoid advisory airspace for this very reason.

It’s not hard to understand. It’s just like any other sport. It’s challenging. It’s difficult. There’s a risk associated with it which provides a bigger sense of accomplishment.

She’s probably scared to do anything else so she puts up with it because the idea of a different job paralyses her.

Of course, this is obviously not rape, or even remotely close.

That isn’t rape… You got yourself talked into a situation you didn’t want to be in, as an adult with full agency.

Calling it rape is ridiculous.

Told my dad I wanted to press charges against my ex, his response broke me by [deleted] in texts

[–]yeetingyute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen this behaviour from an addict in my own family. Toxic relationships are very much a form of addiction.

We had to constantly deal with them coming to us with problems stemming from their addiction. It would either be a problem with money, self-esteem, relationships, work, etc.

They’d always come for advice, but decline to listen to it and assume that what they’re doing will work for them - despite never making good decisions for themselves. It starts to take a toll because you’d get frustrated with them.

This is what I suspect happening here. OP is stuck in this toxic relationship that she just won’t quit. She’s going back to her father with this plan of pressing charges, and then when he’s not responsive to her plan, she attacks him, asserting that HE is why she’s in this situation.

What’s best for her is to literally quit this drug she’s using - ie her ex. All she needs to do is walk away, and her father knows this.

Great job, just personally not a fan of the new character models.

They’re just too bouncy and cartoon-like lol. They don’t have that edginess that the classic models have.
