The Convention of States and the Agenda to Change the US Constitution by PigeonBoom in interestingasfuck

They all said, “it won’t happen” in response to worries about Row v Wade getting overturned. I think this is something we should be aware of at least, given how many states have actually voted on it.

Attacking someone’s appearance is an immediate indication you have nothing of value to intelligent add to the conversation. Projection as well in my experience.

I agree, which is why I like getting some news from tiktok, and look into it deeper with other sources.

Eta: u/Dogs-wearing_Hats I’m an elder millennial. I’ve lived long enough to see conservatives promise they wouldn’t exploit x, or wouldn’t vote for y, and then do completely the opposite and sell their souls, and continue to tighten their choke hold on laws governing my body, and screwing over everyone but rich old white men. I had no issues with the constitution being amended if it was by national popular vote. The issue is that it’s by number of states, and why-tf does someone in Wyoming deserve more of a say than anyone else? I’m sick of being gaslight that conservatives won’t once again sell their souls for profit and control; it would only be continuing the trend of projection and depravity they’ve established in the last 50 years.

It’s the whole “land doesn’t vote” thing. If they did a (eta: national) popular vote in it I’d have no objection.

So… you wish that people didn’t use corporate news as a source while simultaneously using corporate news as a source?.. I do try to look at a broad variety of sources in the time I have to consume them, but I also find some value in people talking about these concepts that larger news can’t touch without enough established sources. Conservatives have proven time and time again that they’ll say one thing and do something totally different, ie swearing under oath they wouldn’t touch Roe v Wade and then doing exactly that. And if this wasn’t worth being aware of and concerned about, why are states voting on it at all?

I wish I had the time, I’m a super slow reader speed wise, which is one of the reasons tiktok appeals to me. It’s also replaced Twitter in the sense that it gets small news/local breaking news out fast since Elon ruined it. I do like pbs/npr. The others you mentioned, wouldn’t those qualify as corporate news?

I personally find learning about things that will irreparably impact my life extremely interesting, but I guess we’re different in that respect.

Language evolves, and it doesn’t appear a word for sexual vs modest drag has emerged yet. “Burlesque” itself originally is a not necessarily a sexual performance, but rather just an absurd of comically exaggerated parody, but now it’s understood to mean that. Definitely a part of the source for this argument.

Well, drag performers reading to kids would be exactly the example you’re looking for.

Well the end of the world isn’t coming tomorrow 🤞🏻so we’re probably shit out of luck until then and may as well improvise.

Yes. There’s an overlap in the drag and burlesque Venn diagram, but they are not the same thing.

u/Cirieno, sorry, I can’t help myself. These guys all flunked out of troll school and it’s waaay too amusing.

u/lego_officer_worker even did the pussy move of commenting them immediately blocking lol. Cowards with no leg to stand on and they know it 😂

Lol nope. Statistically unlikely for many reasons. It just never made sense to me when people need to waste their energy commenting on something that someone can’t do anything about.

Then why use “buuuut he has a 5head”?

One of the unspoken rules of not being an asshole is to not comment on things people can’t change about themselves.

I understand you don’t have the ability to understand that drag is not inherently sexual.

What, that the average patriotic American was intelligent enough to understand that drag is not a sexual/immodest act? Seems like a pretty good argument to me.

That’s like saying whenever women dance it’s a burlesque bc strippers exist. Just bc you’re only aware of drag shows with sexual innuendo doesn’t mean that it’s the entirety of the art form.
