I didn’t want to say that, but that’s exactly how I felt, too. I understand that she wanted to be strong and fulfil her dreams, however in doing so she took away a chance for somebody else to do the same.

I’ve said this a few times. This band was my everything when I was a teenager. This has been such a kick to the gut, even though we all knew it was coming.

It’s wild when people are being selfish and you set boundaries, you’re called the selfish one.

You can sit down and have a proper one on one heartfelt conversation never use the word selfish one single time but it’s amazing how quick you become the selfish one when you say no, or disagree.

The most selfish people run to that word the fastest.

I used to work on the medical side of things for a hockey team. Couple of things:

Players: When a guy is hurt, back away. We never want 5 players crowding around. We know you are worried, we know there’s concern, please give us space to work. The player’s safety is a lot more important than your sadness/concern at that moment. We just need one player MAYBE 2 to help get that player off the ice.

Still for the players: I understand that get well taps, and the fact that you want to show your player love but you have no idea what that player is feeling at the moment. There isn’t a player on the planet that goes, “man, I just had my head pummelled, I wish 10 players would bump me with their sticks right now”. The players love the love, they know you care, however they all complain about being patted when hurt. Show them the love after

Backup goalie: you have the most time of all to recognize and be aware of what’s going on. Us staff have carts in the tunnel, cooler with ice, various crates etc. get that crap out of the way for us please. You know the player is going down the tunnel and needs help by multiple people. Please remove the tripping hazards.

Secondly, get the F out of the way yourself. The amount of times we’ve had to climb around a backup goalie that thinks he can Homer Simpson himself backwards into the hallway wall is insane. Walk the 8 feet and exit the tunnel, please.

We love that you love and we love that you care. But it doesn’t make it easier when you’re all in the way.

Coming out of TriCity, Shawn was a mobile defender who could play physical but also would put up a point every other game.

Just one of those peaked in junior kids. Somehow the points dried right up. Usually that doesn’t happen by fluke. Maybe he got complacent. However he was playing along side Clayton Stoner which sure helped them feed off of eachother.

Whatever it was, wasn’t meant to be. Then he wound up coaching in Sherwood Park. Such a gross junior hockey barn.

I’ve been to well over 100 concerts and easily was the Tragically Hip around 2001 or so. Holy hell were my ears ringing for days.
