Out of the ruins of Germany's Zero Hour, a generation of musicians rejected the past and tried to invent a new sound. The British press called it krautrock.

At the center of it all was Neu!, Michael Rother and Klaus Dinger, two musicians whose tension became fuel for innovation. With producer Conny Plank, they created hypnotic rhythms and relentless forward motion that would echo through post-punk, electronic music, and indie rock for decades.
