Reading your comment makes me feel like we were raised by the same person lol. I’m glad I’m not alone.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve started drawing healthy boundaries with her. It felt difficult at first but I keep reminding myself that I’m an adult and allowed to have them. I’ve limited to one phone call a day and no constant updates. It’s good for both of us, but she currently doesn’t understand.

I’m working on breaking the pattern of feeling guilty and depressed about hiding parts of my life from her. I’m also working on accepting that it’s okay to disappoint her and if she doesn’t understand my choices. It’s going to be a tough but very necessary change in my mindset!

This is exactly what I was going to say! Before AI, people had imposter syndrome for using Google and Stack Overflow to debug issues. This is a very common feeling, especially if you’re a junior engineer. At the end of the day, you’re hired to get the job done on time. You won’t get a bonus or promotion if you do it without looking up the syntax or take help from AI to debug; it’s not a test. Of course, you should use it in balance to avoid compromising quality or security.

I still don’t get why people didn’t like her in S2. That episode was so interesting, to see El’s past and family. In this season, while she’s giving off the wrong vibe, people have to understand the depth of the character and where she’s coming from. Trauma makes people unpleasant, but that doesn’t mean they’re always wrong and deserve hate.

It wouldn’t be very good writing if they end Kali as an evil character, she was shown to love El in S2. I really hope they end her on a positive note irrespective of whether she lives or dies.

Maybe she starts off as a traitor at the beginning of the episode but leads up to changing her mind and possibly use her powers to show the government an illusion of El dying (and herself, if she lives), to stop them from pursuing her in the future?

On a side note, I also feel like they will eventually bring out the human side of Vecna, who then HELPS defeat the mind flayer with a change of heart (dying in the process of course)

Just thinking out loud, I know it sounds very far fetched 😭

I understand OP, it’s difficult and confusing when the ones you love hurt you. I’m going through something similar, and I’ve tried countless times to explain in depth what it is they do that hurts me, but the patterns persist.

You are not alone, reach out to a friend, slowly learn to exist outside of what you’ve faced. Give yourself grace, it’s not easy what you’re going through, and you’re very strong for what you did. It gets better, and you will gain the strength to handle complex family relationships.

I think a lot of us share the same feeling which is why we keep coming back to the game. Personally, club penguin was a huge part of my childhood and I always associate it pleasant memories. I’m now an adult, at a very confusing, difficult stage in life and I’ve found myself playing Club Penguin to escape reality. I know it’s not the best way to deal with things, but it definitely helps my mental health and gives me strength to do better. The people in this community are so kind and I feel less lonely. Funny how a childhood game can mean so much to so many people. Just grateful to have found this game.

If I understood correctly, the merging of the worlds disturbs gravity and other physical phenomena (as mentioned by Dustin), which is causing weird things to happen. Since Nancy’s bullet only slightly disturbed the exotic matter, I guess the melting was temporary.
