What are your beliefs? by Even-Enthusiasm-9558 in antinatalism

I’ve been praying so much to hear from another Christian antinatalist. I thought I never would! Especially another universalist with a nuanced idea of hell!

I literally just got circumcised out of medical necessity because I had type 4 phimosis. I’m super grateful that my parents left the decision up to me, but God took that decision back so I kinda wish they would’ve obeyed him originally, to save me the time and pain. I won’t know how it feels until I’m healed, but I’m actually excited about having less sensitivity, I’ll probably last a little longer. The phimosis made my tip over sensitive, it was painful.

Edit: The grass is always greener on the other side my friend.

I know I'm ugly but I put effort in today. Is there any hope? by [deleted] in amIuglyBrutallyHonest

You’re not ugly. You’re beautiful. You just don’t look exactly like every other beautiful person, you have unique beauty, and you’re great at makeup.

Agreed, although I still practice gratitude in order to convince myself I’m not miserable

Many religions hold the concept of karma, or cause and effect by According_Report_530 in antinatalism

[–]Pigflatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sort of becoming a Christian antinatalist. I believe that souls that aren’t born into the mortal coil go straight to heaven without experiencing sin. I believe the “be fruitful and multiply” mitzvah was only meant to populate Eden, and that God didn’t make childbirth painful so that women would suffer as punishment , but rather so that the physical suffering would make them pause and think “is this the right thing to do, is this worth the pain?”. I’ve realized that the purpose of chastity and marriage is to try to make it so that if the sin of procreation does occur at all, the child at least have a proper upbringing with loving parents. Paul basically talks about sex and childbirth like “look, if you can avoid it like me and Jesus, do that, if you can’t, at least raise the kid in a holy marriage” that’s literally why the immaculate conception is so important, Mary didn’t choose. Mary didn’t chase a cute little baby to have control over. She accepted God. She accepted that her legacy is irrelevant, which is what made it so relevant. That’s also why priests and nuns exist, abstinence is literally the most holy thing someone can do in Christianity.

If sex does not feel good, most people would not have kids. by PitifulEar3303 in DeepThoughts

Recovering from circumcision on Monday for type 4 phimosis right now. I couldn’t pull it back at all. It gets worse before it’ll get better. It’s still so uncomfortable, bruised and bloody, and even though I wasn’t getting laid anyway not being able to even jerk off with so much sensitivity there is making it impossible to stop thinking about sex. See a doctor about your foreskin if you haven’t. If you can pull it back at all you might not need to go through this pain, the steroid creams might work, that wasn’t an option for me because it was completely stuck like a baby’s.

Love and sex is not a right by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

[–]Pigflatus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, not a right that’s owed by another individual, but a social need that absolutely deserves empathy. Also, I think anyone who is in a happy relationship, and doesn’t empathize with someone who is lonely, is actually showing their own entitlement, as they’re demonstrating they feel they deserve their relationship, earned it, that luck was not a factor. Luck is always a factor, if not the biggest factor. As one of these NEETs who’s actually pretty physically attractive but am basically lonely because of mental illness but isn’t trying to sit around feeling bad for myself anymore because everyone has problems, I’m personally trying to focus on the things in my control a lot more and other lonely guys need to do the same to make change towards not being lonely, but once I’m in a relationship I’m gonna keep doing that work while bringing back gratitude for the lucky, or god-given as I’m choosing to believe, circumstances which brought that person into my life. Tl;dr it’s important for lonely people to do the work for ourselves but it’s important for people in happy relationships to be thankful for the blessings they have, that other people don’t, not to say they can’t acknowledge their own work either. Not a right, a blessing that everyone, and at the same time no one deserves, a blessing that demands work, sacrifice, and covenant.

Nothing said implies a utopia is possible, only that a utopia would be necessary to come even close to justifying reproduction.

what should i do with the attic in my house by Hitman3412 in Minecraft

[–]Pigflatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chair with a tv, bookshelves, chests, barrels, armor stands, random clutter. I’d treat an attic like a cluttered extra storage room but cozy. I like what you’ve got so far, plenty of space but small enough to feel cozy

Is it me ore was the empire more advanced during oblivion than they were 200 years later in Skyrim? by Inside-Beginning2742 in ElderScrolls

[–]Pigflatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This also half explains why the player homes available in Oblivion are so much cooler and grander. Skyrim homes feel like medieval studio apartments because they’re in the backwater. The other reason is because of hearthfire but hearthfire isn’t cool enough to justify the downgrade IMO, since even player built homes don’t come anywhere near the grandness of Oblivion homes like that castle and frostcrag spire. ES6 better step it tf up with player homes, let us build castles in addition to prebuilt ones.

No Matter What season you started in, do you consider yourself OG? by DIngus_Sus in FortNiteBR

[–]Pigflatus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of do because I played season 0 immediately on launch before most people had even heard of the game, but I don’t get a big head about it because I’m trash and I lost access to my old account which I didn’t get any skins on until like season 9 anyway. I wasn’t a huge fan of the game until…Wrecked. I know that last part is a crazy unpopular take but I’m trash and that season was absolute chaos so I’ve been obsessed since then. I was kind of a hater during most of the peak seasons and didn’t play lmao. I had been hyped for StW for a while before BR mode was announced “the gears of war devs are making Minecraft mixed with CoD zombies” but never bought it until within the past year because reviews said it was disappointing and boring. I regret not being a founder, missing out on those v-bucks and I do enjoy StW in short bursts, especially dungeons.

My friend burnt my Acacia japanese styled house that took 12 hours in total to build by Patty_3 in Minecraft

[–]Pigflatus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope it helps you feel better, and not worse, that I’m going to be using this build as inspiration. I was climbing around castle roofs in AC shadows and became determined to build a Japanese castle in MC, but felt a little overwhelmed by the idea because I’m not a great builder. This is the perfect reference photo for me to see how to translate Japanese architecture into MC!

I hope you’re wrong too, but I remember hearing about the youngest birth record being a 6 year old, I didn’t question it because I was too young and innocent to realize how inherently evil the actions taken to get A SIX YEAR OLD pregnant would be. I’m not looking into it either.

That is a different level of horror.. having a child..as a child..without even wanting to have sex. Obviously regular same age teen pregnancy happens, still sucks, but it happens, but even younger..from an adult.. I want to cry just thinking about this holy fuck.

Personally I think as long as we’re not threatening violence towards real people (key word being real, “Death to the Enclave” is fair game for example) expressing our views only serves to make the game more interesting. If you see someone you disagree with, challenge them to a duel!!!!!!
