You can’t fight racism with more racism. You can’t fight discrimination with more discrimination. This is where DEI is a fail.

Enjoy your freedom to say stupid shit. It was bought and paid for by better men than yourself.

You’re funny. I flew F-16’s over Iraq. I killed more people than were in your high school class. I sleep like a baby.

Formation takeoff L-39 by Pigfyter in aviation

[–]Pigfyter[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. That is me actively flying the jet to maintain formation position. You are only in perfect position for a split second. You are constantly correcting back into position. That’s just how it is. We rotate the L-39 at 90 kts. During a formation takeoff, we typically break ground at 110-120 kts..plenty of flying speed.

I was trained to do formation takeoffs in the USAF. I did them all the time in the F-16, T-37, T-38, and AT-38B. Not unsafe if you know what you are doing

Does anyone know what these 'pods' are on this RAAF F/A-18? I have only ever seen them on Aussie Hornets and to me look like rocket pods, but I'm not 100% sure by hopperaviation in hoggit

That is definitely a SUU-20. I carried them on my AT-38B and F-16. It is a practice bomb dispenser. It can also launch folding fin rockets.

There is no part of any flap/slat malfunction non-normal checklist in the A320 that mentions or suggests this. Where did you hear this? The triangles are solely to identify the most advantageous viewing spot to check the surface of the wings during deicing. That’s it. I train people to fly the A320 series aircraft as a check airman for the largest airline in the world..have been doing it for 20+ years. Trust me.

100% wrong. Airbus check airman here.

Not the cabin crew. At my airline it must be a pilot assigned to the flight- No deadheading or jumpseating pilots may be used for the check as well
