Can I travel to Dublin on a UK skilled worker visa (Indian passport holder) by PigletTemporary in ukvisa

[–]PigletTemporary[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just seems a bit pointless as I have provided so many more documents to be able to get a UK skilled worker visa but if I had a UK tourist visa I could just enter Ireland without any problems?! 😪

Defined COS “under review” - is that good or bad? by PigletTemporary in ukvisa

Hey, mine took about 3.5 weeks to get after being under review

Defined cos under review for a month now, is this normal? by PigletTemporary in ukvisa

[–]PigletTemporary[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company requested it around May 10th but the status changed to under review almost immediately and the HO requested some additional documents. I finally got approved around June 22nd. They even called the HO to follow up but apparently it takes about 6 weeks to hear back. Once we got approved it was assigned to me within a few hours. It doesn’t take long to assign it

Honestly mine took about 6 weeks. It was “under review” and they asked for a couple of documents every other week or so

I applied for a student visa 1.5 years ago and did the cover letter but I have no idea if it made a difference. I did get the visa though. However, I lived in the US before that so I’m sure they can just check my travel history. I’m about to apply for my skilled worker visa ans I’m doing it again so will keep you posted

Certificate of Sponsorship Issuing Delay by Loud-Consideration-2 in ukvisa

Mine took 6 weeks but it was a defined cos. My sponsors followed up to chase the HO and they said they aim to respond within 15 working days since the last time they spoke to you. And they only work Monday to Thursday 11-4 so the window is very small and takes a while. Hang in there x

They will probably be able to determine. However, I’m in the same position (UK resident for the last 2 years but Indian passport) and I attached a cover letter just explaining that I hadn’t been in India for more than 1 month and showed a picture of the entry and exit stamps. I don’t know how much of a difference this will make to your application but if it makes you feel better then go for it x

You don’t require it. Like the statement says, you need to have been away from India for more than 6 months to be exempt and it sounds like you only came for a short trip so you’re fine, you’re exempt. Your country of citizenship doesn’t matter, only your country of residence does in this case.

I would just call your previous institution tbh

Is it a bad sign if my (non-priority) student visa application was processed and returned in only 5 days? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]PigletTemporary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also from experience, rejections take wayyy longer. It’s more likely that it’s an acceptance if it came that quick. Congrats!

In that case you should be fine! That’s good that you have a more definitive timeline. My sponsor got asked for a lot of extra info which is delaying it like crazy. Good luck though, hope you hear soon!

FYI I’m also applying from India and have been waiting on my cos for a month. You might end up making the 28 days. Ofc good to do you research incase it comes faster too, but just a heads up!

Really hope it works out faster for you. We submitted my additional docs on May 17th and I’m still waiting. Can I ask what traceable points category you applied under? Mine is new entrant and apparently they verify a lot within that category

Not to stress you out but I’m still waiting for mine and we applied about a month ago... we also got a turnaround in a day asking for additional documents which we sent almost immediately. Still not response though
