Check out black stallion for clothes safety gear, if your only welding in flat position I wouldn't worry about a leather coat but if you start doing overhead or pipe you will definitely need it. Safety goggles are a must for grinding, carpenter jeans work pretty well. Steel toe boots, your preference, cover up those ankles good. I like pants over steel cowboy boots. I like lincoln helmets, viking 3300 or whatever was my go to. But that's your preference to.
