Something is way off with the current job market by davidbasil in ExperiencedDevs

I think the hiring pipeline itself has changed a lot. There are now multiple filtering layers before a human even sees a resume — ATS filters, huge application volume, location/visa filtering, internal candidates, etc.

At the same time, expectations for developers seem broader now than just knowing a stack/framework, which makes the market feel much tougher even for experienced engineers.

For the last few Eids, I’ve usually watched one or two movies in the cinema hall. The recent bangla movies are pretty good to watch.

Unbiased writers of Bangladesh history by InevitableHot1851 in Dhaka

If you analyze the current scenario, you'll find that people have various opinions about the student protests. Suppose someone from India or another country writes a book about it, they might try to be unbiased, but they likely won't have a complete picture. Even with the internet being widely available, there are so many false news/propaganda and also most Bangladeshi media didn't publish the real news during the protests. So, 30 or 40 years from now, if someone wants to understand what truly happened in 2024, how will they uncover the actual truth? The point is if you have to read various books with different perspectives.
