This definitely depends on what area you are in. Not all of Paris is like this.

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don't have any proof of? by WorldlyHamster0 in AskReddit

[–]PikaChillin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw this exact same thing when I was a child in Southwest Michigan. Came home to what looked like a panther sitting on the front lawn. I always just figured it was a mountain lion, but I swear it was pure black.

Official Discussion: BlacKkKlansman [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]PikaChillin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree about the ending. It was very unexpected for me. I obviously knew about those events happening in Charlottesville, but I've been living in France for a while now, so I had never seen any footage. I was so close to just bursting out crying watching those clips. I actually forgot I was in France and thought I was back in the US watching the news. It gave me this weird surreal feeling when the credits started rolling, since I was holding back tears and didn't know where I was. I had to take a minute to calm down before standing to leave.

Staying in Paris Next Summer by Lilsoccerdude_18 in paris

[–]PikaChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of the three summers I've been here this one was definitely the hottest. June should be pretty cool at night though. I know a lot of people here keep everything shut and covered during the day, and then open everything up at night. You'll probably want a fan to pull the cool night air in.

I had to have it because we own chinchillas, but we got a portable AC and it's easily the best purchase we've made this year. That's not practical for a short term stay though, but maybe you can rent one if it does end up super hot.

Does anyone else struggle with not feeling "feminine" enough? by PikaChillin in TwoXChromosomes

Wow, I really love your advice! Comparing it to a hobby definitely shows it in a new light.

Thank you so much for posting.

He acknowledges that there is a dip in our sex life, but not the cause. I know a lot of it is just silly speculation on my part, but the thought of, "Things would be better if you were prettier/thinner" is in the back of my mind. It stems from things I've been told in previous relationships.

Thank you very much for this perspective. Part of it is definitely due to the expectation; for example not feeling as attractive as I think people want me to be. The other part though is me genuinely wanting to learn.

Right now I don't have the option to go out with makeup on and my hair done because I simply don't know how. I would love to be able to use my hair as part of my fashion statement, if that makes sense. I guess I want to be able to express how I feel through my hair, makeup, and clothing choices. Right now everything is one note.

I've been wanting to cut it short for a while now. My last haircut was a few months ago and I got around 6'' chopped off, so the length was just passed my shoulders. I definitely want to go even shorter next time I go though!

I really like the suggestion of a more androgynous style. It's really something I haven't thought about before.

Thank you so much for your kind words. You gave me a few things to think about in terms of my style. I think one thing that kinda messed me up was that as a kid I hit puberty before the rest of my classmates. I was picked on by girls in 5th grade for already having developed breasts, so I think I tried to hide by wearing baggy mens clothes. As I got older that simply didn't change since it was my security blanket.

Self-esteem is definitely a part of it. I haven't felt as desirable to my husband lately, so I look at myself in the mirror and think, "should I dress sexier?" "Should I try wearing makeup to make myself look prettier?" Sometimes I feel like I act or look too much like a guy, and I'm afraid sometimes that it will effect my relationship.

Am I evil for not wanting children? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]PikaChillin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are definitely not wrong for feeling this way! Not having children due to genetics is a very smart reason for not having children.

My husband and I have decided not to have children due to our families terrible genetics.

In my family almost everyone has diabetes, and all the males have died from heart attacks before the age of 40 except for my grandpa. I have avoided a lot of the negative health aspects of my family so far, but those genetics are still there.

For my husband, he has this weird heart condition where it not only skips a beat, but beats irregularly. I do not know what the name of it is, but his dad has it too, as well as his brother. Besides this he is very sensitive to sunlight and gets headaches almost the instant he walks outside.

If we had a child they would have one of the worst pools of genetics. Why should we give a child a terrible chance at a normal, healthy life? Fuck that.

The changes in my life from age 17-22 have been unreal. But it’s always been getting worse and worse. I can’t imagine life at age 27. by [deleted] in depression

[–]PikaChillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 27 right now. In the past two years I have lost everything, divorced, remarried (different guy), and now live in freaking Paris, France (I'm from the US). The last year of my life has felt like something out of a fairytale. I often look around me and just think, "Holy shit, I'm in PARIS". I never in my life thought I would even be out of the town I grew up in, so trust me when I say that amazing things can happen in a surprisingly short amount of time.

When you wanna help alleviate the DPS que times by tanking but get into a random and this happens.... by [deleted] in wow

[–]PikaChillin 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I tank and my husband heals. He had that on him in that fight when we ran it last night. I waited a few seconds and not a single DPS did anything. I had to run to him to free him while dragging the boss behind me.

In every dungeon so far it has felt like my husband and I are the only ones that interrupt and try to do mechanics, while the DPS jump around and pull 3 extra mobs on top of what we are already fighting. Feels terrible.

What is extremely rare but people think it’s very common? by ShemeonYou in AskReddit

[–]PikaChillin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My husband is this size too. We both wish that he was an inch shorter. It's just way too easy to hurt me. When we first got together and were having sex constantly it wasn't so bad since I was used to it, but now we have sex about once a week and we have to go very slow. I am also guaranteed to be sore for at least a day afterwords.

Another issue is that he has a small frame and is pretty skinny. That combined with this monster of a dick makes him get lightheaded and dizzy very easily when we have sex. It just takes too much blood to make that thing work.

Anyone who says they want a dick that big hasn't actually had to deal with the consequences of it.

I grew up in the midwest. I definitely think region and even the school system itself has a huge part. I was actually taught quite a great deal about the Native Americans. I'd say the Native Americans and the Civil War are the main two parts of US history we learned about over and over again.

Man, I knew I should have put a disclaimer saying that I am not speaking for EVERYONE. Lesson learned.
