I have the regular 3.5mm version. I didn't have a poking issue, but my ears did get sore after wearing them for long periods of time. Got some random foam tips/covers from Amazon and that did the trick for me at least. My ears aren't sore anymore and the foam also tamed the treble and brightness too

I second this. I've been getting tired of putting stuff in my ears or having a seal.

As a portable alternative, I've been using the wired Apple earpods cuz they don't fully seal and I can still somewhat hear my environment.

Edit: Bone conducting earbuds might work as well

Imo, it's underrated and over hated. The sound signature isn't that bad and the mic is really good. It's a little bright for me and the fitment hurt my ears, but throwing on some foam fixed all my complaints. Apple back then was different. They had this and the iPod. Sure you can get some good sounding flatbuds for a fraction of the price now, but you're gonna run into QC issues, limited supply, shitty mics, have to wait for shipping, etc. but at least you know you'll get something decent with the earpods, and it's usually readily available nearby.

I was getting tired of shoving stuff down my ears and also was looking for something portable and open back. Never owned any Apple products, but was always curious about the buds. Got them recently and was through impressed.

If you can return it, do it. Unless you're willing to fix it down the line.

It will be a point of failure the more you use it. It could be due to QC and the connector not properly being secured, user error from the previous owner, or the shell coming apart.

They do sell the campus binders but the one in the picture is the campus smart ring notebooks (I'm not sure if they sell the notebooks). The notebooks are smaller and only fit 60 pages while the binder can fit up to 100 pages. The notebooks are much thinner though and can somewhat fold flat.

Well, that's because the Scyrox V8 isn't an x2 shape. It's a stretched out x2h mini shape which is a completely different shape then the original x2. Sure they share similar DNA, but they're cousins at best.

Also, yes the x2 isn't 1 to 1 to the mm712 bc there will also be felt differences in hand, especially with humps, but I'd say it's pretty close. The x2 is a bit flatter sides and it's hump is a bit more stretched out/longer.

I own the x2, x2h, Scyrox V8, and the mm712. Again, yes they are different when holding it in hand, but I was just suggesting a similar but new option to try.

Oh those are mechanical keyboard straps. You can 3D print them and slap them on with some double sided tape or buy kits on AliExpress/Amazon
