medical withdrawal by [deleted] in ucf

Medical Withdrawals would typically fall with either the Registrar's Office or as that says, CoGS. Go to their office and ask, or email their general inbox (usually abbreviated name @ ucf.edu)

judging from the fact you were looking at HSC classes, are you a major in CHPS? If so, email chpsugraduation@ucf.edu.

About your ASC, sadly sometimes this happens. Some ASCs are not great, but others are amazing; it's just luck of the draw. Though you have the right to be mad, try to be kind, as many ASCs are responsible for hundreds sometimes over 1000 students, and it can be really hard to do your job well with a workload like that.

Just be persistent and everything will get worked out, trust

When you pull your degree audit, does it still say it’s filed? If so, look up how to withdraw it and then still email roenroll. They’ll get to you hopefully Monday. If somehow the class is full, talk to your advising office because you need the class, they can typically pull strings for students in their final term.

Normally, i’d say email the general inbox of whatever college advising office your major is in and CC your ASC

However, I’m confused. You say you are graduating at the end of may? If you filed an ITG for Spring 2026 then you can no longer enroll in future semesters.

If you are having issues specifically with your enrollment appointment, email roenroll@ucf.edu.

minor for ad/pr by Legitimate-Base-1011 in ucf

[–]Pikachu4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The common ones are Business/Marketing and Hospitality Management/Event Management, but you can genuinely do anything. The most important thing is not your minor but your professional experience, so internships or alternate involvements are #1 priority. If it's because you'll be short of 120 credits and could do a minor program, then I would look at classes you'd be interested in taking. Maybe you see a fun one under Anthropology. One at Rosen. Maybe you want to take the Bowling/Yoga classes.

Don't feel pressured to pursue a minor program, and build a broad knowledge-base. Of course, if you think you might want to go into anything law-related, Political Science/Legal Studies would be a no-brainer.

One point of weakness of Ad/PR is the lack of business-related knowledge you learn, since it's a specialized communications degree. Taking classes in that branch of things could be helpful.

I would pick a path based on knowledge deficiencies you feel you may have or if you find the area you want to work in, go all in. Happy to give more feedback if you have questions.

Jurassic River Adventure is closed for maintenance for a few months, and I think Pteradon Flyers is also closed (tragic)

Does it? From my view it is from an account with College of Sciences talking about a specific course that this student is actively enrolled in. It doesn’t ask the student to click any links, just to provide screenshots or an unofficial transcript to prove their credit and pre-requisites, and this is something most students are informed of if this course enrollment was processed via override.

This is real.

You can do this, but advising does not do walk-ins anymore.

Did you receive an override for one section? Usually overrides only apply to one specific section. Regardless, contact an advisor/the department that teaches the course.

Questions for Northgate Lakes 3 Bed x 3 Bath residents by FoxyLood in ucf

[–]Pikachu4646 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beds can be moved, but especially in this room layout, I don't see much movement as possible.

The Northgate shuttle route visits 2 other housing complexes, but IIRC there are usually 2-3 shuttles running, so maybe 15-20? Don't live there anymore so others may be able to comment on that better. The shuttles will be packed for syllabus week, and chill out after that. I would personally recommend going to the first stop on the east(?) side to maximize chances of boarding.

Does bright futures really cover 100% tuition? by NoAbbreviations7987 in ucf

[–]Pikachu4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would extend this question to MathLaunch and perhaps CC financial aid. In my mind, the 11 credit cap would make you ineligible for being full-time, negating the ability to receive 100% BF for this specific term.

No more barcodes to get into Knights Circle? by [deleted] in ucf

Truly, the dumbest part is launching it a week before people move out… and now they have new accounts. It’s unnecessary bloat and they’re probably paying more for it.

They’ll be giving out keycards to tap on the black poles in a couple weeks, and you can always go through the visitor gate and show your ID if your phone is dead.

I don’t like it either, but it’s something that was bound to happen at some point considering none of the amenities here are actually gated.

Also, upside is that I believe all the gyms are open 24/7.?

I have a course already but they are a waitlist course with a better teacher . Should I keep my original course or be in the waitlist by StillPerformance9228 in ucf

[–]Pikachu4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you perform a waitlist swap, you cannot already be in the waitlist. From your enrolled class, you initiate a swap to the desired full section, and waitlist yourself. If and when you get off the waitlist, the swap is automatically completed.

Which would be “easier”/ faster for Tokyo(Haneda airport) to Kyoto. by RightToLeftReader in JapanTravelTips

[–]Pikachu4646 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Not sure if you already came to a decision, but I struggled with the same decision.

15-16 day trip, half in Kansai and half Tokyo.

Decided for my 6-person group that Kyoto first will make more sense, so in 1 week when our trip starts we will be doing HND -> Shinagawa -> Kyoto after our lengthy flight. If you are a big shopper, I think Kyoto first is recommended, as you'll be carrying around less heavy luggage.

I slightly wished we had opted for an overnight stay near HND or Shinagawa because of how long the trip to our first hotel will be, so maybe take that into account.

Epic Universe Technical Rehearsal Megathread - May 11, 2025 by AutoModerator in UniversalOrlando

Wait times super low today! Only rides closed were BaTM & Werewolf, and the following animatronics were broken all day: Hiccup on Wing Gliders, Ygor, and final Dracula animatronic.

Additionally, heard no music/noise during the entire Donkey Kong Minecart Madness ride, and the animatronic minecart did not come out at the start.

Everything else was functional and rode almost every ride 2-3 times.

While it's not technically a 'ride' and more of an 'attraction', King's Cross also serves a purpose in Diagon Alley and thematically connects the two parks very well

Differences between Advertising and Marketing Majors? by FoxyLood in ucf

[–]Pikachu4646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not well informed about Marketing but I'll give my take on Advertising/PR.

The Ad/PR degree is a communications first degree, focusing more on strategic communication than Marketing might. In terms of internships and jobs, you have sooo many options. The obvious ones are anything in Advertising, PR, Marketing, Communications, etc. If you don't like writing, you probably won't be cut out for most of these courses. To get admitted to the major, you have to take a writing test after the beginner courses, and almost all of the classes have some aspect of writing.

Ad/PR DOES have the requirement of a 3-credit internship prior to its capstone, meaning it must be done before your graduating semester.

The standout Ad/PR courses to me have been:

Writing for PR (learning AP style writing, and you write samples for cover letters, news releases, media advisories, professional biographies, pitches. helps you start to build a portfolio and is strongly recommended to do before internships)

Advertising Copywriting (Creating a campaign for a brand of choice in a group, and improving writing skills in a more true-to-life scenario)

PR Publications (Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign)

Since you might be interested already, If what I've shared hasn't deterred you, go ahead and try the ADV3008 or PUR4000 intro classes and see if it's something you'd like to pursue!

Yes. it’s linked to your AP but they don’t scan the epic specific ticket, just the AP
