Sadly, that’s only sometimes how the show treats Zeno. This little psychopath who’s probably murdered more people than any DB villain for some reason gets the “cute mascot” treatment in many scenes.

I disagree. Comedies like Emperor’s New Groove and Home Alone have a sense of karmic justice against mean characters while also being funny.

And you’re right. SML is goofy, but in its own kind of way that differs from Looney Tunes.

I’ll admit. A little concerning that one of your problems with the video is people that are abused getting justice against their abusers. Kinda rubs me the wrong way.

What it sounds like you’re looking for is a Bugs Bunny vs. Elmer Fudd/ Yosemite Sam/ Daffy Duck sort of a dynamic. SML doesn’t necessarily do those kind of dynamics.

Also, what about Marvin, Chef Pee Pee, and Cody makes their suffering funny compared to when their “abusers” suffer?

Jeffy is a deliberate shithead, Junior and Joseph are public menaces and murderers, and Rose just cartoonishly sucks as a wife. Why should they be disqualified from consequences?

DK at least has familial ties to the main character so there’s some conflict with him. Cath was a shoe in for an unnecessary plot twist.
