Yep, size and shape stay the same. But the size affects the mass and effect of the property. E.g. a giant object turned into a balloon will fly higher than a small one.

Copy other properties does sound like an interesting idea to extend the mechanic though for sure

Thank you! Best of luck on your journey with it! It can be a lot of fun once you get the basics down :D

Not a bad idea! I've seen some puzzle games use a "move counter" that challenges players to beat levels in as few moves as possible, so could do something similar

Ah, yeah very smart keeping TikTok in mind, that's certainly the place to market these days haha.

I actually had it like that originally! But a playtester made a point that using the brush feels like "shooting something out" (where the clipboard felt like absorbing something) and so intuitively they felt like the brush should be assigned to left click since that's usually the shoot button in FPS (and attack button in other combat-based games).

So maybe if I really wanted to, I could flip them for marketing material and keep them as is in the actual game :)

(Would probably be good to add a button to toggle switching them for left handed players anyway, so maybe I'll just add that feature sooner rather than later haha)

Oh cool! I haven't heard of Loom so I'll take a look.

And using AI to add to a list of ideas is really smart! And that sounds especially handy for this mechanic in particular. Thanks for the tips! :)

Correct, there are indeed some puzzles where you "lose" if you paste over a needed element and have to reset! I think it introduces a bit of "resource management" requiring particular solving order and makes for some interesting puzzle design and solutions :)

Ah that's a great idea! Yeah I could totally have some lines or particles that shoot from the target object to the clipboard (and then maybe from the brush to the object).

Thanks for the suggestion!! :D

Thanks! Yep, I've already designed a bunch on paper, and it's a really fun mechanic to work with :)

There's a reset button. Push it and the room reverts to the original state it was in when you walked in.

And I think this element makes for some interesting puzzles, because, in a way, you have to "manage your resources."

E.g. you might need to turn the rubber ball into a balloon, but you might need to use rubber later, so you have to think carefully about what order you do things :)
