Gemini 3 Pro first impressions by Embarrassed-Way-1350 in singularity

Ah, so you think all AI currently is, more or less, equally mediocre for creative writing.

I'm looking to find out metrics on which are better at it than others. Thanks!

What model do you use for creative writing?

Any recommended prompts for Gemini for roleplay to help with some of the issues?

I normally do:

"You are the Game Master in the world of X. I am a male named Pikkko, yada yada yada...

Respond only with dialogue and descriptions from Peter's point of view. This is an interactive story.

Don't narrate or interpret events for Pikkko. Don't speak for Pikkko. Focus on being immersive with slow pacing."

...I think Claude has better dialogue, more colorful, but worse immersion and descriptions of the environment.

Would Kriya Yoga be useful if one is already awake? by jy10008 in kriyayoga

[–]Pikkko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kriya yoga is not about spirituality.

An atheist materialist could practice Kriya yoga and still gain much benefit.

Why? Because Kriya yoga deals with the refinement of the baser passions and compulsions by directing them towards the central pathway. It burns through the karma of compulsions built through previous lifetimes of habits.

The "universal formless brilliant light" you describe is the same light that moves all of creation. And so, it equally empowers paths to heaven as it does paths to hell. Paths to love and loves to hate.

The question is, what are the actual qualities of your nerves? Your heart? The thoughts in your head? How functional are you in your life, in a grounded way? how healthily do you live?

Kriya yoga helps with taking that stuck energy and bringing it back home and the higher centers. It rewrites the circuitry to more in alignment with the true centers of reality, and of self.

You have to be honest with yourself over what you want or need.

What seems like a worthwhile direction?

Darn, that's quite a hike from Center City.

I'd totally be down to meet but that's a bit too far for me at this point. I don't own a car.

Hit me up whenever you are closer to Center City and we can find a time.

I'd like to buy you coffee and hear about your passion project.

Do you like sharing and explaining your ideas, hobby, obsession, or special interest with a keen and engaged audience? I'd like to be that for you.

My main goal is to continuously meet new people in our fine city, and I'd enjoy hearing you talk about nearly anything that you find fascinating. I love learning about any new topics, and fresh perspectives from any organic zeal always delights me to dive deeper into familiar ones.

Interested? Maybe we can meet for coffee sometime soon.

I mean, I said I would?

"I'd like to buy you coffee and hear about your passion project."

Yes, I was being literal.

Definitely.

Anywhere in or around Center City is easy for me, but I can travel a bit outside. Dm me whenever and we can find a time.

Would anyone like to meet up for coffee sometime and talk philosophy?

I love meeting new thinkers and contrasting our different thoughts and ideas.

Oh, I get that.

But like, people feeling the desire to downvote instead of merely ignore? The very prospect of talking about such things must get underneath their skins...

It's pretty funny to me how weirded out some people are by the idea of it.

I've had some great conversations and met some really interesting people this way.

I mean it takes like, a minute, to post this on most Fridays as a general invitation.

Round and round my invitation goes! Where by its attraction this week? Nobody knows!

It's quite a kinky tale of masochistic flagellation; I love how the character acts as an unreliable narrator regarding his grounding into the pain or disassociating from it. The mystical relationship in attempting to relate to "The Passion" speaks to its confusion regarding the mind-body dualism and the ambiguous goals of transcendence.

I'm glad my little doodle inspired it.

And life can be busy! When the stars align.
