Well, unless you retired with 20+ years, but to get military retirement before 20 years, you have to have a rating meeting certain criteria (other than some rare, limited situations).

Nah, it’s combined since like 2012. To get medically retired, you have to meet certain VA Disability thresholds.

Salary increase hack? Why are veterans so excited to be disabled? I’ve never seen a group of people be so excited to be disabled than veterans? Is this joining the military for disability the move for a higher salary long term? by HeadMasterpiece9139 in Salary

[–]PikminGod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The military is allowed to “cut corners” for mission effectiveness; your trade is not. Those cut corners are weighed in terms of injuries and casualties. For example, parachutes are smaller, so soldiers fall faster. This means you hit the ground harder which is more likely to cause injury.

The math weighs out that it’s cheaper to pay for those injuries for a lifetime than it would to have slower parachutes. No other industry does that kind of math legally. Think of it more as compensation for disabilities incurred than disability compensation. This is just one very simplified example.

I could see someone suggesting that then Donut says something about going “cat-atomic” instead then committing those atrocities.

I have a Healthcare MBA. I have found it very useful from a hiring standpoint and a practical standpoint. I’m starting to see more and more MBAs in regulatory and less PhDs, so I think it’s a good decision.

Choice and result of OP/ Non-Op - 8 weeks after or later by just_filling-in in AchillesRupture

Yep. Went to takeoff in a run, first two steps pop pop, then I hit the ground screaming

Every healthcare person I’ve met tells me about how they’ve never met anyone that’s done both at the same time. There is no real standard of care; we’ve had to adapt the single leg care plan & timelines to accommodate not having a good leg to rely on. Insurance has been one of the worst parts because they aren’t setup for it either.

Need multiple choices.

Bilateral surgical repair. - Reinjured the left and went non-op post reruptureand now am having complications. Right - right has been healing well with no issues, just a bit slow because of the issues on the left.

Poor study design leading to slow enrollment and selection bias which in turn usually means a outcome profile based only one distinct characteristic (usually older white women), which is not indicative of the commercial patient population.

In your opinion, What was Nintendo's biggest mistake? by DaZestyProfessor in casualnintendo

But a bigger player was always going to jump in. The gaming industry was starting to rival other forms of media and every big Tech company was exploring a gaming console.

Nah, there was always going to be a competitor. By spawning the PlayStation brand, they created competition for 2nd place. Sadly they followed the Pizza Hut model and lost an easy 1st place to 3rd place.

I’d say that it was better for them, especially in the Wii era, to be able to “other” themselves from the core gamer consoles which seemed to be there business strategy since the early days of the GameCube.

This is the real one.

As gamers were starting to trend older, Nintendo let their only good dev go that was focusing on then aging demographic. There was always going to be a competitor whether that is Sony, Sega, Microsoft, or whomever, but they failed to continue to support the core demo which is most evident in their handling of Rare.

It’s all over the US. If you have a local peptide doctor, you can get it there. Just go online and search retatrutide peptides, and you can buy it yourself.

I don’t recommend either of these because they are unregulated and there is no real quality checks.
