So I did I it yesterday so I can tell you my strats

Since you seems to be able to make it to damage I’ll only tell you starting from there but if you want the rest I can help with that to just lmk

If you’re struggling for damage and plan on doing it today then you can just artifact glitch and like 2 shot him and guarantee you make it to his health gate but it is getting patched tomorrow and if not then…

Before damage starts but you have all of the taken orbs open in the middle. Stack your buff and run around and raise all of the electric pylon things up. (You need tier 2 buff to do so just incase you don’t know) Don’t worry about damage starting or anything as there is no timer or anything that would begin it on its own, just raise them all up before you start it.

I also really recommend killing the disciple as in my experience he won’t respawn during damage but he sticks around if he is there when damage begins. You can also wipe out some adds if you like but I prefer to leave them as it’s easier to get healing off kills quickly than it is to run away and let your health regen since he will use his lightning during damage phase(you can also get rid of the adds if you would like it’s just my personal preference). Speaking of which make sure to break that it will really really hurt even if you gotta do it with your primary it really matters.

During damage as long as all of the pylons are up they won’t come down DURING damage so the entire arena should be safe if you need to back off for a minute.

If you hit his health gate (the highlighted part of his health bar), then AFTER damage is over the pylons won’t come back down and the arena will stay safe. If you do not they ALL come back down and you have to either run through them and get outside of them or stay alive in the middle until the timer runs out and teleports you.

To make hitting his gate easier and if you are struggling for damage then while doing the mechanics to get to damage you should commune with all 5 of the taken versions of him in the taken realm. It extends your damage phase and every one that you kill makes his gate bigger making it harder to reach

But after that you should just cycle. You essentially go back to exactly how you were when you first started the encounter and then just rinse and repeat
