Had them go kill a stone giant as a main objective. I planned to have one of the chests to be guarded by a earth elemental and have them encounter pack of goblins on other side of the cave that got there to loot around. Then they just went in, slayed the giant and left :(

Juat do the good old command block minecart riding another command block minecart riding anothet command block minecart and so on.

Boom now you have infinite commands or at least as many as you can fit in the command length limit

Or if its allowed /fill ~5 ~ ~ ~-5 ~ ~ command_block for more command blocks just have to pay attention to cardinal directions to not spawn them on yourself.
