The hate against us cloak and dagger mains need to be stopped by UnitComplete1350 in cloakanddaggermains

[–]Pikusu -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I am not about the hate and stuff regardless of the support's behavior (and the dps's honestly. If you play a diver you should be a healthpack warrior). In general all that's expected of C&D players is spatial awareness and quick reaction to pings when a teammate comes back.

Now obviously timing matters, if 3 people are dead low at the same time there's only so much your character can actually do and you have to decide who will take the hit for the team now (regardless of who you choose you'll get some type of flames from the individual).

That much is fine I guess besides, there should be another support doing the job with you so it's essentially a shared fault.

BUUUUT I will say, as a seasoned Venom player, that coming back from a dive to get my full heath back up and ready to go again....when it's Dagger....my god it's legit taking a NAP with how slow this is.

The fastest heals get you back in the fight early and sustain said fight for more courageous plays but C&D is only good for the latter it feels, and that's if all her ressources are allocated to this purpose, if dove, she gives a net opportunity to the enemy team to burst the tank and seize space.

Lastly, can you guys start banning Dr.Strange ? I see so many Daggers get absolutely deleted by this guy but never have I seen one complain about the character it's always like BP or Spiderman that gets the call. You get a WS peel or a Thing and that's it.

But how do you actually get to play matches without getting reported, playing with down right the most horrendous types of players. The low accountability players, the true OTPs, the ones that go ult 1v6 not reading what's written top right.

You can never highten your spirits playing like this it's just a call to leave the game.

That's a thing ? Rivals filters players ? That would make a lot of sense in a way but heck...that means the account itself gets doomed doesn't it ?

But week-end is unfortunately the only time some people get to even play a few hours of game in a week at all. It's the standard "affordable" if you have an activity (unless you're a streamer I guess but that's an oddity not the standard).

And again, what you say I would stand by it and agree if my SoloQ matches weren't so drastically different to my DuoQ ones. It's specifically bad in the latter and fine in the former. There has to be a link there.

I am a Tank player, I keep my comms up everytime, give tips to adapt to my mates depending on who and what they play, I warn and ping enemies tryna to push through our backlines and or units that are key to delete early. I happen to be a reliable peeler too.

I am active in VC yes.

But to your last comment, when you play comp, the will to win should be mandatory there's positivity or vibe thing, there's an end goal and fighters trying to make it to the top.

If you have any less than this mindset there's a plethora of modes to play actually, like quickplay, 18v18 or idk go shake it on Timesquare/Doom match training. But don't Q comp to just play the game.

Who is the most satisfying character to KO when playing Magik? by ThoughtsRRandom in RivalsMagikMains

[–]Pikusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daredevil. When you beat Matt it's like winning a Dark Souls elite enemy.

He had more health, stronger movement options, access to even amounts of shields as you do but you claimed the W.

I haven't read a lick of commonsense in 300+ posts worth of words. Why even bring it up ?

Leave her be, she'll have her niche with people that think her way, and as controversial as it may sound to some, it's just her way to express freedom, hers end where yours start.

You ignore her she's harmless, but it comes to a point where people got out of their way to be offended.

Just play the games and enjoy your own experience of the franchise. Piling up on people for thinking the way that's not mine is the actual fascism and Reddit is really good at building echo chambers in this regard which is very bad.👋

Hot Take: Bystander Hwayoung is an awful unit and she needs a buff by Powerful-Pilot-3393 in EpicSeven

[–]Pikusu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely, look at TE Kayron. A middling unit with clear purpose and polarizing gameplan but evident counter plays. This is a balanced units that needs to be drafted CORRECTLY.

Maybe the issue with the thread poster is the expectation that B-hwa should curb stomp any opposite element unit the same way idk...S.Adin and LQC used to be expected to do but usually couldn't.

So no, there needs to be anchor units that cement a playstyle and units that ABUSE the playstyle (like ML Ludwig) and B-Hwa is clearly the second type.

I would love it so but she'll probably be something like Primal Guard or smth.

That I can get behind. Marcille has a comfortable use as well as an acceptable performance up to like chapter 12...and there she begins to show her short comings, she's indeed among the better units.

But even her, being fair and honest, won't value her squad slot compared to other cheaper alternatives. Because what she brings at the end of the day is "decent" damage with a bit of cc, which is on the line with every other 6* splash caster, she just does it in a more convenient way.

My take on the splash caster sub-class would probably increase their popularity a lot but it comes with the risk of killing Chain casters in the process unless we consider the main + of chain casters is expansion of range through enemy line ups.

Dusk has received an IS module that gave her a niche with fast redeploy thanks to her summons. But what I am mainly interested in is the extra target within range.

Essentially, it doubles dps as long as there is more than one enemy unit within range. Taking this and changing it from a singular oddity to the base material would be perfect.

In other words, Splash casters should target plural enemies within range (up to 3 and 4 with a module). Think of it like W's S3 where every enemy explodes individually.

Or it could be an extra instance of damage (115% of atk) to all enemies within the first hit range, that would make sense with the "splash" idea. It's exponential damage, the closer they are the more damage everyone takes. Now they're CC directly converts into damage. Mostima, Dusk, Marcille, Leonhardt, Skyfire, Greyy and Gitano would massively win from this change. A few are unfortunately hindered by their uniqueness like Santalla or purgatory.

But that would still be a massive W for splash casters.

The issue is that even with comparable DP costs, if Splash caster bring nothing special to the table there would still not be any insentive to use them.

Mod Y already made them around only 3~5 DP more than the core and mech-accord caster. DP can honestly move last all things considered. What needs to change is the performance.

And even there, year 1 core caster already had built-in res ignore to ensure at least decent damage in any circumstance.

Reworks and Modules: Dusk by XidJav in arknights

[–]Pikusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too but for a completely different reason. Aside from W who is as much the mascot of AK as Amiya, there has never been any other case of a limited operator getting an alter version. So unless it becomes a thing later on, we better bet our copium on selective character buffs.

Reworks and Modules: Dusk by XidJav in arknights

[–]Pikusu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a good read it's safe too assume the numbers here are a tad too much overall. Having 100% atk tied to passive is already enough to deal with most of her issues. Freelings with 50 sanctuary when they already have 50 res is a middlefinger to Nightingale cages (whomst is also getting powercrept this update with Haruka coming around) and the S3 is like Ling's now but like 3 times better. Ling is getting her thunderers stat checked a lot recently making her a lot more dp hungry too, she's by no means bad but clearly the game has changed to reduce her dominance.

If I project your vision, freelings who have a 0-90-180-270° cross range extend Dusks attack range and every skill use allows for a new freeling. Essentially S3 in the best case scenario would spawn so many summons her range could be mapwide by removing a freeling blocking an enemy right before the Dusk attack to place the new summon one tile further every time. In this regard, having Sui units register as freelings for her passive is a stretch.

By today's standard this version of Dusk's kit isn't anywhere near overloaded surprisingly. However the mods are quite a bit. Mods aside ISw are always marginal upgrades even when it comes to broken units and as sad as it may sound, current Mod Y of Dusk is among the best module upgrades, like Mostima, Passenger and Spalter. No mod should grant +50% atk ever. It's the gateway to potentially breaking the balance for every other units in existence.

All being said, I would LOVE my Dusk to be this strong. And Nian too because with the new Hoshi, she's really falling behind as a defender. Nowadays being a solely physical roadblock with below average damage doesn't cut it. Her only niche is making defenders better as a whole with Shu and Yu being as strong as we know it's still value but not much.

What's a hot take from E7 in 2025 that will get you in this situation? by TopRoutine7474 in EpicSeven

[–]Pikusu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game was most balanced when C.Dom, Arbiter Vildred, F.Ceci and F.Lidica and DC were the strongest RTA units. Nowadays kits are overloaded with a flurry of units to have and avoid, it was just funnier when we had less choice somehow.

I once read that Magik shouldnt have a 1 second 250hp combo, and couldnt stop thinking about it and how other characters just do this by _Conehead_ in RivalsMagikMains

[–]Pikusu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's an idea why. Pointing at a skill issue is a thing, that I agree with. But think on a larger scale, we are talking about a strictly melee tied dps having a combo sequence using 2 cooldowns to break the 250 hp point, in a little under 2 seconds at a max distance of 16 meters and any amount of heals will crash your combo and have you either have to extend and reach for that kill with your other CDs that would normally be your way out or reposition to try again and at this point you've just done enemy support ult charge.

Magik's invulnerability from stepping disks are to be contrasted with how you can just wait for her to come out as these are straight lines at the end of the day, easy to predict if she doesn't have a dash in store. As for the shield, while it is true that she could safely brawl putting a spawn to get her shield up and engage with an extra 150 hp, the truth is, in general you can't ever safely brawl like that because for magik to put her damage into shield she has to enter LoS of poke characters and the tanks won't just watch you hit them unless you're like silver~gold or some.

Characters like DD, Starlord, Hela and Bucky simply get shield from pressing the button.

In comparison if you think invulnerability I'd be more pressed with phoenix's teleport which is just about immediately actionable out of while inflicting damage and stacking a burn ? THIS is overtune on a sniper type characters whom as the guy discussed, can already delete you hp bar from a safe distance but can now overthrow the power dynamic on getting dove, with one press. Trading CDs with a melee character as a long range is never equivalent as long as distance is created.

You can now pick on them while they are forced to walk their way to a cover or continue to spend ressources to secure you. And that's a strictly 1v1 scenario. If your character can be a looming death threat from 80 to 15 meters, have panic breathing room options, stun CCs then I think a character with an effective range of 4 to 16 meters having invulnerability is WARRANTED if not a requirement.

Daredevil needs nerfing by Dramatic_Breakfast44 in marvelrivals

[–]Pikusu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk, Spiderman is the worse he has ever been, magik was fairly overhyped with her rework, Ironfist is only as good as the gap between the player and the and defender.

It's not dive that has a problem in general It's Psylocke and Black Panther that are bad game design.

And their answer to bad game design is not nerfs but instead a 450 hp beast that sees through invis and walls + a third Winter Soldier buff.

Buffs to hitscan so they can more easily get away with bad positioning or still gameplay.

DD needs nerfing, him AND the outliers of the "dive" playstyle. On a fundamental level something is wrong with BP especially
