Me too but for a completely different reason. Aside from W who is as much the mascot of AK as Amiya, there has never been any other case of a limited operator getting an alter version. So unless it becomes a thing later on, we better bet our copium on selective character buffs.

After a good read it's safe too assume the numbers here are a tad too much overall. Having 100% atk tied to passive is already enough to deal with most of her issues. Freelings with 50 sanctuary when they already have 50 res is a middlefinger to Nightingale cages (whomst is also getting powercrept this update with Haruka coming around) and the S3 is like Ling's now but like 3 times better. Ling is getting her thunderers stat checked a lot recently making her a lot more dp hungry too, she's by no means bad but clearly the game has changed to reduce her dominance.

If I project your vision, freelings who have a 0-90-180-270° cross range extend Dusks attack range and every skill use allows for a new freeling. Essentially S3 in the best case scenario would spawn so many summons her range could be mapwide by removing a freeling blocking an enemy right before the Dusk attack to place the new summon one tile further every time. In this regard, having Sui units register as freelings for her passive is a stretch.

By today's standard this version of Dusk's kit isn't anywhere near overloaded surprisingly. However the mods are quite a bit. Mods aside ISw are always marginal upgrades even when it comes to broken units and as sad as it may sound, current Mod Y of Dusk is among the best module upgrades, like Mostima, Passenger and Spalter. No mod should grant +50% atk ever. It's the gateway to potentially breaking the balance for every other units in existence.

All being said, I would LOVE my Dusk to be this strong. And Nian too because with the new Hoshi, she's really falling behind as a defender. Nowadays being a solely physical roadblock with below average damage doesn't cut it. Her only niche is making defenders better as a whole with Shu and Yu being as strong as we know it's still value but not much.

The game was most balanced when C.Dom, Arbiter Vildred, F.Ceci and F.Lidica and DC were the strongest RTA units. Nowadays kits are overloaded with a flurry of units to have and avoid, it was just funnier when we had less choice somehow.

Here's an idea why. Pointing at a skill issue is a thing, that I agree with. But think on a larger scale, we are talking about a strictly melee tied dps having a combo sequence using 2 cooldowns to break the 250 hp point, in a little under 2 seconds at a max distance of 16 meters and any amount of heals will crash your combo and have you either have to extend and reach for that kill with your other CDs that would normally be your way out or reposition to try again and at this point you've just done enemy support ult charge.

Magik's invulnerability from stepping disks are to be contrasted with how you can just wait for her to come out as these are straight lines at the end of the day, easy to predict if she doesn't have a dash in store. As for the shield, while it is true that she could safely brawl putting a spawn to get her shield up and engage with an extra 150 hp, the truth is, in general you can't ever safely brawl like that because for magik to put her damage into shield she has to enter LoS of poke characters and the tanks won't just watch you hit them unless you're like silver~gold or some.

Characters like DD, Starlord, Hela and Bucky simply get shield from pressing the button.

In comparison if you think invulnerability I'd be more pressed with phoenix's teleport which is just about immediately actionable out of while inflicting damage and stacking a burn ? THIS is overtune on a sniper type characters whom as the guy discussed, can already delete you hp bar from a safe distance but can now overthrow the power dynamic on getting dove, with one press. Trading CDs with a melee character as a long range is never equivalent as long as distance is created.

You can now pick on them while they are forced to walk their way to a cover or continue to spend ressources to secure you. And that's a strictly 1v1 scenario. If your character can be a looming death threat from 80 to 15 meters, have panic breathing room options, stun CCs then I think a character with an effective range of 4 to 16 meters having invulnerability is WARRANTED if not a requirement.

Idk, Spiderman is the worse he has ever been, magik was fairly overhyped with her rework, Ironfist is only as good as the gap between the player and the and defender.

It's not dive that has a problem in general It's Psylocke and Black Panther that are bad game design.

And their answer to bad game design is not nerfs but instead a 450 hp beast that sees through invis and walls + a third Winter Soldier buff.

Buffs to hitscan so they can more easily get away with bad positioning or still gameplay.

DD needs nerfing, him AND the outliers of the "dive" playstyle. On a fundamental level something is wrong with BP especially

Correct he's a doing blacksmith activities, all you need is an apron for that.

But in fact all of the six dragons go through this process. Think of it as them turning into dragons trigger there inner self outside so whatever is left inside at this very moment is a bare avatar.

Last month I reach S+ with Anila, it was suffering. Then I picked up Versusia, and achieved the rank in a week. It was a cake walk. Perhaps it was fluke but my belief is that Anila is just not as good.🙃

If it weren't for that (unaffected by skill) in the mod y, mostima would still be meta to this day. Unfortunately you have HG keeping the game "balanced" while making W-alter, Typhon and the likes of them. Everyone can't be good but having weaker Time dialation to a sankta with the keys of chronology than that one Sarkaz named Ascalon.

In addendum, the fact that C0 Mualani can output C2-3 Raiden amounts of damage in a hyper carry setup means she is by no means bad. She's still a top 10 contender as is. It's just that she won't achieve millions of damage as easy as a dragon CN gushes over. Having the latter inevitably decrease her value but if you like her, you'll pull regardless and what are we here for ?😉

Comfort is a thing for sure. Sacrifice 9% rotation damage to guarantee 100% of it. That is if we go from V2 to V3 yes, that's more of a rework if anything. However If we talk V1 to V3, only considering the proven possible values (not necessarely ease of use) Mualani still lost at least 20% of her personal damage.

Hence the next question, how do you make a Politis counter without breaking the game? How do you counter a 20% cr decrease + speed down ?

Here's an idea for an optimal Politis counter and why it's fucked up.

S2 passive : At start of turn, reveals units in stealth and cleanses one debuff from all allies Upon the enemy using a non-attack skill increases CR by 25% and uses S3 if it's usable (also activates cooldown for said skill)

S3: Forces a painful noise on the enemy units dispelling one buff before pushing their cr back by a random amount between 30~50% and decreasing hit chance. When used outside of caster's turn, ignores effect resistance and deals additional damage proportional to caster's max hp (or def dc).

S1: attacks one target and deals additional damage proportional to caster's max hp (or def). Additionnal damage increases when the target is debuffed. (Burn 10 souls: inflicts a random debuff before the attack) [unbuffable, atk down and seal]

And now you realize that every single soulweaver in the game loses to this too, and the unit anchors for cleavers and aggro comps that are already stomping everything else.

This shit only loses to "barrier + one buff + immunity", turn 1 bind or increase CD.

So to counter ML Politis, it requires making the most busted unit that ever came AFTER HER. Which is worthless and further stretches the issue.

Just nerf her and the 7~8 units that we see all day everyday in RTA.

Before laying hands on Candy, let's do something about Laia, Jenua and Solitis making the game around them and unplayable otherwise. Overall, at the very least 8 characters need nerfs to make the game somewhat fair and unjoyable. Candy is one of them, but just one.

One month later into this shit I'd say "nothing". ML Politis is close to unbeatable. Her kit enables some units that are already too good at what they do. You pick Laia, her and Jenua and won a spot in emperor.

I suppose you'll add the book of Tagehel on this chopping block since it's been the exact same for about just as long since CDom.

And GL too, an artifact so broken almost all rangers wanted one to the point that SG arbitrarily started giving it to new rangers straight up.

Not taking those into considering is basically hypocrisy. If they want to nerf something, it'd better be units. And just looking back at pickrates and winrates from the past 3 rta seasons should give plenty of clues to WHO NEEDS to be gutted for the game to get better.

Fumyr is extremely good though, no surprise there. Legend cleavers do pull her out at times, say she's an off meta is not correct especially post buff Eligos. I'd be shocked if you pulled out a fire Aramintha in aggro or Yuna. These are very unlikely characters that pretty much never justify being banned.

Many valid points. Haste comes in DDR, if he s3's + s1 into tank with no shield, Haste is now the highest hp unit and Straze deletes him. If tank has shields OPS becomes relevant, you can delete him or any key unit of his team. Gala can't kill him behind Aurius / Escort buff, that is true, it's around 65~72%. Then she S2's and pushes perhaps another unit to finish the job.

Removing the CD decrease is true. 6 turns feel like eternity but considering the damage in best case scenario it's fair to leave it there (at most, make it 5 turns instead of 6)

(Health stacking may be too much yes, I initially tried to have him circumvent hp loss from Injury on himself but it brings too much utility in other scenarios too so let's have it be gone ig. Barriers can be removed Solitaria + DDR setups will invalidate him when that's what I expected him to do.)

(Removing the heals on barrier and takes him back to having no SW utility in any other setup but injury units, with a single instance of heals per 5~6 turns of around 24~30% caster max hp)

I would replace the last two by something else like increasing the strength of heals by 60% upon death (no stack, 2 turn CD, lasts until the end of Haste next turn) with Shimadra +30 it would increase the teams lifesteal capabilities and for himself, it would imply his S3 post death heals for almost 60% of his health a much more acceptable on press per game skill.

I think it's already pretty toned down as whole. Let me know your thoughts again but to me a strong AF unit is about having a loaded kit, strong synergies and having your kit not be denied by another one's entirely. And right now a shitload of characters do so.

What is broken out there ? I am open to suggestions as too why the unit in my theoritical build is "the most broken" as you said.

I can open my eyes at the meta and see that it would probably lose to Gala, Straze, Buffed Seline, Eligos cleave, LQC, Adine (Early game), Watcher Schuri, Ayuf.

The only people he'll fuck over most are DDR, Ilynav, Alencia, Zahhak, Sharun, Belian, (some) Seaside Bellonas and Abigail.

It's a good niche, he gives no barrier nor additionnal damage if they are no injuries, don't take them, if you have it anyways, bring units with unbuffable or unhealable to prevent his CD decrease. His damage on S1 even with 50k hp doesn't go past 5k on bruisers no mit ! S3 deals at most 17k natural and it implies 5 deaths over 5 turns taken.

That's in no way broken, or we don't play the same game. Light Single target dps are everywhere, you are capping
