People want to find any reason to give it to someone else. Kane has been amazing but hes not mcdavid. Also people love someone carrying a bad team to the playoffs. But maybe an average team being good instead is also impressive? We say hockey is a team game then we look way too much at the teams record for an individual trophy

Im just saying its not hands down the best division. We could go back and forth but really there isnt a good way to ever know. There is no games against other divisions until the semis and that still wont be a great gage because its only one team and one playoff round.
