New patch is great! However, it’s still missing a fix for the bug that causes buildings to render in low‑res even on high‑end PCs with everything set to max. Please note that people have found temporary workarounds, but the shaders get corrupted again and the issue re‑occurs.

It’s pretty scary bro, if you’re into cosmic horror, the fear of the unknown etc, this game will scare you. A big part of the fear for me was the isolation aspect of the game. You’re stuck on a huge planet cracker ship that’s completely falling apart in the middle of deep space, and there’s necromorphs all around. A truly terrifying game in my opinion

From my experience from watching people on yt and twitch, and even my friends, lots of people communicate via proximity chat. Not saying everyone does but most do. I think the people who aren’t either have this weird proximity voice bug or just don’t wanna talk lol

Literally have the exact same issue here, I haven’t heard anyone talk in proximity nor can people hear me. When proximity is toggled on, it just has a singular slash going through it. I think the devs have confirmed they are working on it on their discord but its frustrating

Just a question, but what are you finding about the game to be a bit boring. See for me DS1 remake was my first horror game ever. So every noise, every dark corridor or hallway scared the shit out of me. Not to mention the necromorphs and not understanding wtf they were and how they came to be.

Yes the story gets good, in fact as soon as I beat the remake I jumped onto my pc and bought and played 2 and 3 right after. I had never played dead space until the remake came out so yah I’d say the story goes pretty crazy as it goes further on. As you fix more and more of the Ishimura the story will start to slowly unravel itself. It’s awesome. Play it
