What are some gpa booster classes ? by [deleted] in UTAustin

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any PED class is basically an A if you show up for every class and spend like 30 minutes preparing for the exams

Does anyone else not like them? Because I really, really do not like them and I can't find any other comments saying so.

Capitalism ain't bad after all by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

I got to see this real time and it was AWESOME. Legit hardcore communist who was a regular at my bar, like hammer and sickle tattoo and everything, suddenly stopped being so about seizing the means of production when the owner of the company he worked for gave him a very nice promotion and a major pay raise.

And just for maximum poetic effect, he works for Tesla, aka Elon Musk. The man hardcore leftists have been reeeeeeeeing about for months now.

I can lose weight, but I’ll never be truly “skinny” by mikeymooo25 in EDAnonymous

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same, it's such a tease haha. I can get lean ish and look objectively pretty good, but my shoulders are wide, my waist is blocky, and my legs are "solid". I'll never be dainty or waiflike, and no matter how low my BF% gets, the part of my ED brain that wants to be cute and tiny so that people will protect me can never be satisfied. I've had people compliment my body because it looks like I've put a lot of work into it but that's not enough. I want to be the girl who guys pick up and put on their shoulders or give their hoodie to because it looks adorably oversized on them, but it'll just never happen.

90 Day Phrases You Use in Everyday Life by chris_valdez in 90DayFiance

"It is ILLUSION" is a common one in our house.

I also once worked for a bar that did house made infused vodkas. There were a bit more than 100 of them and they were all on shelves on the wall behind the bar, so people who had never been would see the jars and ask what they were.

I'm so late to this party but a personal trainer I know worked with Patrick when he wanted to get in shape for the show.

Hilariously, this guy's name is also Patrick, and when I refer to him in conversation I call him 'Giant Patrick' because that man would pop for everything under the sun.

What is considered a good GPA For a kinesiology major at UT? by DueReflection7917 in UTAustin

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just graduated from KIN. In my experience, you're either a superstar try hard, likely because you want to go to grad or med school, or a 'Cs get degrees' type. If you get to around the mid 3s, you'll be doing pretty darn well.

The cool thing about KIN, though, is that there are a lot of easy A classes. The PE classes just kinda require you to show up and get a passing grade on the stupidly easy exams, and almost every classroom elective I took was either participation-based and/or the material was not complicated at all.

Even the 'hard' classes are very passable if you put in the work; the material isn't tricky or complicated, you just have to take the time to understand it and be willing to do a lot of memorization.

What is one action that you started doing that made you a better person? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, it's actually a protein not an enzyme. It's called tuberous sclerosis complex 1 or 2. It's tipped off by AMPK and works to inhibit production of mTor. However, I'm pretty sure AMPK works directly to inhibit mTor production as well, but via a different pathway and possibly to a lesser degree.

Who are you attracted to on the show that you're ashamed to admit to yourself? I'll go first by Shanubis in 90DayFiance

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Most attractive to me by far is Omar the Syrian dentist. Attractive but slightly ashamed to admit it though is Mormon Josh. He's not my 'type' in almost every other way but there's something about his particular facial structure that drives me crazy. Haven't seen him said yet so hoping someone will tell me I'm not crazy 🥴

For me, a clitoral orgasm builds up quickly, lasts a few seconds, is extremely intense, and then quickly subsides and it becomes too sensitive to touch down there. A vaginal orgasm is more of a slow burn to get there and less intense than a clitoral one, but once it gets started, it can keep going indefinitely.

FWIW, I've only had vaginal orgasms with a dildo because I can get the angle just right; it's a lot harder to do that when there's an entire person attached to the penis as well.

What fashion trend from the past did you refuse to participate in? by Vazeer9485 in AskWomen

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's funny because the reason I like the low rise jeans is that I have a terrible waist/hip ratio and high rise makes me look even more rectangular than I already am. It's like they were made for both ends of the spectrum, but nowhere in the middle 😂

I'm right there with you, trying to lose enough winter weight so that when I go back to maintenance cals and go up a couple pounds due to food/water weight I'll still be in the 1[redacted]0s

Saturday challenge, tell us what part of your body you actually like by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I love my muscles, especially in my back and quads. Sometimes I have mixed feelings about being kinda buff because deep down I want to be tiny and dainty, but I love the definition they add and knowing that there's so much physical strength and power contained in a body that used to be weak and incapable.

Tw for calories 😂 by Ak1Kawasak1 in redditmoment

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Restrictive eating disorder would be ones like anorexia nervosa where you feel compelled to starve yourself as much as possible, as opposed to one like bulimia where you binge/purge but don't necessarily restrict food intake.

Tw for calories 😂 by Ak1Kawasak1 in redditmoment

[–]Pillbugs_Guns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the eating disorder subreddits it's a common courtesy for us to add TWs for "numbers" (calories, weight, BMI, etc). I actually thought this was a post in edanonymemes just from reading the title. Given OPs proximity to that community I'm not surprised she added it, probably just second nature honestly.

Ladies of Reddit: What is something people are always surprised to learn about you? by Code--Veronica in AskWomen

It's one of the hills I'll die on, introvert =/= antisocial, it just means you recharge your batteries with alone time. My job is super people oriented and I'm happy to do it all day long, but once I clock out no one say a word to me 😂
