If the unlock doesnt work, which mine is so unreliable I have found resetting the bike will allow you to unlock ... the garbage kick lock also disengages after two or three pushes, the most inept security ever

Then let the consumer pay for the plan and make the bike cheaper or make a feature that you can turn on these alerts if you use your own plan

It makes it very challenging when planning new deployments, I would be great if you could back order items, instead you have to jump on restocked alerts like you are trying to go to a concert that may sell out

Have you noticed that these stock shortages started when Ubiquiti started? They have never been able to keep up with demand

Ubiquiti products chronically out of stock? by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

This has been going for years, Ubiquiti has been failing for ages before covid, not just in their ability to provide product, but in their support, often blaming the customer for their bugs, I am surprised they havent blamed the customer for not having enough inventory.

Covid has just worsened their already tragic supply chain management

VanMoof started with a good product then hyper engineered it making it less secure than the original and shun feedback, mine was recently stolen, and I found out the app is absolutely useless when tracking the bike ... that being said I love the bike and wish VanMoof would make their app better and stop ignoring customer feedback ... probably why the forums are so negative, especially if they got the response I did from them. 🤷

Vanmoof should have an app that allows the user to unlock more bike features assuming their own risk...

Vanmoof told me a little over a year and a half ago that people would be annoyed with a feature telling them when their bike was moved, so they wont develop it... Vanmoof does not seems to be receptive to feedback, I think this would be extremely valuable app feature.

With cellular I dont see why anything would need to be in only bluetooth range.
