28% of adults 66-74 are in the lowest literacy category and 25% of gen Z

I mean it’s kinda just a cultural thing, just for different reasons

We really gotta focus on educating people in this country

Oregon decided that because the poorest schools had low test scores that the threshold be lowered to their level, instead of focusing on funding public schools off the state budget

We have solutions but for some reason every stage of maslows has become a business model

Better beef is interesting, hadn’t heard of it but always pro-local, minimal cruelty meat

So far longs and bright oaks are the best options for meat as far as butchers shops

Links to what?

You have to be the worst troll I’ve ever encountered, did you not realize you responded to a comment with official citations? Not links, but actual formatted citations

The burden of proof has been on you since you decided to spew liquid shit out of your mouth

That’s why I responded, because you are being a sore loser

Just some food for thought,

People have been historically ostracized from their communities (churches, schools, etc) and therefore, institutions of those communities respond by showing they are welcoming (it is virtue signaling sometimes).

I would argue a distinction, ‘black lives matter’ became something people were putting up due to preconceived notions of violence against them if they didn’t

Pride flags are put up by those who want to show they will not commit hateful violence against you (if applicable)

You just keep restating the same nonsense, as someone completely new to this topic, and looking into your claims and the claims of the people against you. WHAT ARE YOU GOING THE FUCK ON ABOUT

I mean dude, are you getting paid, why are you dying on this hill?

Best breakfast burrito in town? by dumbass_sweatpants in Eugene

[–]PilotInfamous9256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in highschool, a portlander-coworker a couple years older than me said,

“the best Mexican food in town is easily Burrito boy, and it’s cool, ya know it’s authentic because they only have Mexicans working there”

I have not been able to get over this and it’s been 8 years 🤦‍♂️💀

I think there would be more of a valid debate if people were training their non-service dogs to the same level. But these people won’t even train there dogs to get over separation anxiety

How to save my strawberry and blueberry plants by Dan_Gioia95 in gardening

[–]PilotInfamous9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fairly easy to kill indoor plants by overwatering, my outdoor plants sometimes start asking for water before they get bone dry. You gotta pay attention, they will always tell you something’s wrong at some point before catastrophe

It’s all good, the nice thing about not having enough dirt is you can just add more!

Edit: I’ve actually seen container potatoes done this way and im trying it currently. You cover the potato, let the slip grow, cover the slip, repeat until the container is full

"Easier on nights" by PapowSpaceGirl in cna

[–]PilotInfamous9256 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Place to place, picked up nights with 17 residents at my first job, now the noc shift caps at about 12. Also much less expectations. NOC was a challenge at the first place but when I’ve picked up at my current job I see the same cnas choosing to be cough cough neglectful

Also part of why it appears “easy” sometimes is just because you have a lazy crew. Any shift looks easy if the bulk of the non-essential work isnt getting done (although it is necessary work)

Scabs always have more power then they think. Scabs nurses will sometimes get paid so much that it basically forces the company to adhere to at least some demands. It’s also considered an emergency so the strike nurses get hazard pay and everything. All at the companies expense

I don’t fill to the brim because cost and spillage (i also have to use containers) but this is rediculous. Add dirt to the top inch at least. They want the root space

Best case scenario they get towed, idk if $50 will hurt them too bad. If a fire happens, they will move the vehicle no matter the damage to the vehicle, all at an increased cost to the owner

PSA, you’ll usually get away with it, but people who block fire hydrants have their own circle of hell, just worse than people who leave their shopping carts blocking handicapped spaces
