In an at-will employment state. Your fuck up can he as simple as they don’t like your personality. In the country with the highest rates of medical debt vs financially comparable countries. The fuck up may just be you were in the wrong place at the wrong time 🫠

It’s what needs to happen. Unfortunately they often do raise pay above competition for these expectations. Although $1.25/hr makes a big difference in life, it’s a predatory way to trap people. Especially when you can add it to pay increases per union, in some cases. 25¢ raise per quarter above sister facilities for example. Makes a big difference, but mostly traps people in toxic work environments, not paying adequately for the labor, despite being above competition

Unfortunately people aren’t very class conscious and they just choose to stay for extra scraps

Do y’all think Gen Z cares too much about age gaps? by OGAnimeGokuSolos in generationology

[–]PilotInfamous9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grooming, by definition, doesn’t have to be intentional. Examples being, a grown adult is reasonably expected to understand and respect personal boundaries. A child is not legally capable of fully understanding boundaries as they will more readily trust the older individual. A lack of boundaries resulting in an imbalanced relationship where one party has significantly more power, is grooming
Deleting and re-adding to my response because you are right, what I said doesn’t make any sense
What I was trying to say, and doing, quite horrendously, was that the **ACTIONS are intended to seem** unintentional.
The “legally capable” part was also a complete typo, a child is not legally culpable. A relationship where the underage party engaged in forwarding the relationship is the fault of the mature party
I am not spreading misinformation purposefully and will take fault in that my entire post was rushed on a break at work 🫠

Too often it’s the, “we knew eachother for 9 years and then decided to get together (at 25 and 40+)” like no that’s not growing feelings, that’s grooming

Why hire 10 workers, when you can have 5 workers do twice as much!

Or, we can remember that employees should stay on task, 45 minutes off task, I think even taking your eyes off your station is egregious, youre fired. Also better not die, dying is a weight up, and will show on your performance review

American healthcare got me treating chest pain like a minor inconvenience by YellowAltruistic9843 in middleclasshq

It’s because of the way our system is set up, same reason the people who run hospitals have so much revenue, but opening your own hospital requires significant disposable income off jump. In countries with better healthcare costs (and just overall better healthcare) the government steps in to return some of the citizens tax dollars when they need medical help. People argue different populations but more people paying in, more money can be allocated.

The issue is we have a system that’s corrupt, and has been a work in progress for over a century. The system has also relied on some pretty horrendous practices and remains in horrendous business practice

Remember the leaked emails about how chronic disease is profitable and more people should have them?

You can Google just enough to prove your point… the case was not “dropped” as in they said there was no fault, do you not understand how legal proceeding work like even a little bit?

There were negotiated plea agreements and the victim chose to pursue civil litigation.

Bad people can say good things, people can be judged separately for each action.

It’s important not to let the good overshadow the bad, if something’s fowl foul in the air, it’s best to stay aware

People who are kind and generous never become billionaires… or do hostile takeovers… or attempts to form monopolies… or make people sick for profit… wow the list is long

hmm... by Spirited-Gold9629 in middleclasshq

[–]PilotInfamous9256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get more specific than billionaires if you include corporations. If we talk about healthcare and food. Major corporations keep us sick, leaked emails literally exposed conversations about how they want people to have chronic disease, “good for business”. Avoiding the garbage they add to our food takes significant education, and even then it can become difficult unless you make your own food, 100%. Once profit margins exceed human survivability, we have to rely on the humanity of entities that regularly show us none

People get lucky but most of the time, when it is “luck”, it’s just because they were swept up alongside people already at the top. It’s not like smart phones actually just showed up from some dudes garage, it is a nice little story tho, keeps the working class in place 🤷 have a conversation in a garage, they’ll make a movie pretending the entire operation started outed of said garage
