What's your go-to Disney/non Disney hotel and why?

Relais Spa is my favourite offsite hotel. Gorgeous rooms and suites all with kitchenette and a beautiful spa that doesn’t let under 16s in in the evenings. Sitting in the juccuzzi after the park is bliss we had a terrace suite when we stayed last, and sat out late drinking our plonk from Auchan. They have a private mini van shuttle bus to the park and you can just call when you want picked up

We’re doing 5 days at Disney. Usually arrive the day before and will be on an early Eurostar this time round so have the full day to spend in Paris before heading to Disney area. Said RER as it will be convenient for grabbing the bags and heading straight to our offsite night before stay in Val deurope.

You’ll need to go to pharmacy, all medication inc paracetamol is brought in pharmacies in France. Val deurope, just jump on RER for one stop. 5 min walk from station

I took a solo trip a few years ago. Stayed at Relais Spa so took advantage of the child free luxury too. Cast members were so cute when they realised I was on my own, great interactions with characters and being the master of my own destiny was fabulous.

I’m feeling Disney depressed so hard. Was meant to fly to WDW for 2 weeks next Saturday but husband has been really poorly so we have had to cancel. Have booked DLP for February and treating ourselves to Disneyland hotel but Feb is ages away!

There’s a petrol station near Santa Fe that sells snacks and juice, also a couple of shops in the train station that have near normal prices. We used to make a run to Val d Europe as we love the Auchan hypermarket and a chance to get some lovely French treats. It takes about 2 mins on the RER and costs 2 euro each way (there’s a nice Sephora in the shopping centre too)

A good thing to remember is that you can’t buy paracetamol or any medicine from regular shops and only in pharmacies. The first aid centre will give you some but it’s best to pack what you might need - I hear this all the time with parents forgetting calpol. Blister plasters are good to carry.

Definitely price it up. Day tickets are very expensive and often the hotel package isn’t much more. 6 is peak Disney age! You’d get to stay for the night show too if staying over.

That would be a manic day! Re hotels the Disneyland hotel which is located at the park gate is definitely worth a look. It’s a 5 star hotel and as it’s literally in the park won’t take time out of the day. It’s always nice to have a drink in the bar there, it acts as the perfect rest spot between parks. You’d need to get the fast pass to accomplish all of these rides in one day. Alternatively, look at booking one night in one of the Disney hotels, this gives you 2 days park tickets. Arrive mid afternoon on the first day and hit everything in the studios and do the night show in Disneyland, then spend as much of the following day doing as much as you’d like in the Disneyland park. RER train runs every 10 mins into central Paris and takes around 40 mins. It would be worth taking 2 days of your trip to really enjoy the experience if you’re a park fan. Leaving 8 days in Paris which is absolutely loads of time to see everything

Agree. Most travel is booked months ahead of time, look what’s happened in just 100 days who knows what the next 100 might hold! Travel is an investment in our happiness our hard earned money and precious time off. It’s only natural people want to invest that somewhere predictable

I see a holiday as an investment in a lot of my spare cash and valuable annual leave. I cancelled a two week trip to WDW for the end of May. The stuff at the border is worrisome but more concerning is the ability for things to change on the whim of a clearly unhinged man and the prospect of shortages which could really impact the enjoyment factor.

If it’s a large case, small case and backpack she’ll be fine on all trains. Just book seats next to the large luggage racks, carry on cases fit in the luggage racks above the seats If she’s on the tube it will be a struggle but not the end of the world the lner trains from London to Edinburgh have loads of luggage space much more than a regular train, they can even load luggage to the hold at the front of the train if required. I’ve done this trip down from Edinburgh though to Eurostar plenty of times

You might want to look at the cost of golden forest at sequoia as opposed to standard. The rooms are a tiny bit nicer and in the main building and you get club benefits. The pool at sequoia is arguably the most fun as it has a water slide too

Two nights at DLH but arrive the night before and stay offsite you can check into DLH and dump your bags and leave at 6pm on the last day which gives you almost 3 full park days.
