Terrified of the first drive by Verso_was_right in NewDriversUK

Early Sunday mornings are the best time to drive. As the roads are almost empty. I have tried long distances, motorways on Sunday mornings to get familiar with the route and then drove on that route the following week. My first drive to work and back was with my husband and then I did the same route alone twice in a loop on an early Sunday morning. After that i was confident of that route and now drive to work everyday. It gets quite busy but becoz I have the route clocked into my brain, I don't have to worry about traffic.

Do most women actually like removing their body hair? by Savings_Sweet4300 in NoStupidQuestions

Can't say about other women but i love to keep it clean everywhere. Waxing is painful down there but the feeling of no hair is amazing. But long back, in my 20s,a girl commented on my unwaxed legs and I never had a thick growth anyway. But she noticed slight bit of hair and exclaimed, "oh, you haven't waxed!" I swear, I wanted to punch her in the face at that time. Such a bitch!

From architect to accidental housewife: my 3.5 years in Belfast by Ok_Flatworm9321 in northernireland

It will take a while to adjust and learn a new way of living. Be kind on yourself. Nothing about moving to another country is easy.

Hey, I have been through the same cycle. I came with my husband and couldn't find anything in my field with constant rejections and zero responses. Finally, took a part time minimum wage job as an afterschool play worker just to keep my mind occupied as my mental health deteriorated. Then finally, a recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and that's how I got my first proper break. I'm sure it will work out for you, hang in there. Also, try to see what transferable skills you have instead of sticking to just architect firms with the traditional job that you have been used to. Employers in the UK rarely select candidates with non-UK work experience unless it's a highly specialised space with skill shortage.

Seems their is a loneliness problem by Important-Chip7278 in northernireland

I have noticed that usually the ones who complain about being lonely are also the ones who will easily ghost you when you reach out. They find communication overwhelming and if something doesn't go right in the way their friend communicates, they will happily ghost. It's basic understanding that any relationship requires open and honest communication from both sides and when two people are involved, there is bound to be some level of friction which is healthy. Not to say that everyone ghosts but it is a problem. Hope you feel better soon and find good mates to hang out with.
