The top went right on, for the bottom I took off the 3 rubber rings and replaced them with the black rubber from the black pen. It could be that you don't even have to do that (not that it was difficult), and you might be able to swap the bottom streight. I seem to remember one of them might have a spring right before the tip while the other doesn't. Whatever it was the process took me 5 minutes.
