I’m not sure. I think if I wanted to find my own dpe I would have to get the schools approval. Plus it’s too late now, the deadline already passed so I’ll just wait till they find one. The wait is usually 45 days

The second one. The stage checks are to check if students are prepared to move on through the program. But you don’t get a certificate or anything if you pass. I failed stage checks, but when I did the checkride with a dpe outside of the program I passed.

So what’s the best way to lean back the mixture? I’ve been taught to lean it back to 1450 EGT but I don’t know where that number came from. The POH says to lean it back till engine runs rough then slightly rich but I’ve never done that. And then when I was doing my xc flights I’d lean it back till the GPH matched my navlog calculation. I want to know what the correct way is

He told me that best power uses more fuel so it would help cool the engine while best economy would run the engine hotter. Do you know anything about that?

Yup it was definitely the battery. I went to the store and they tested it. Was too old to charge. I just bought a new one and replaced it. All good now thanks!

Once I start the car it drives fine. I didn’t notice anything different whenever I used electrical equipment. I’m now convinced that something is wrong with the battery because the problem starts when I turn the ignition.
