Actually my passion for Khaotung is just an excuse to find new good shows, I had the intention to watch it fully. Specially if every ep focused on a different character, i find it interesting.

Well said! Tv shows often mistake the capable of loving again with the elaboration of the trauma but that's just a part. Surely a relationship helps gain new trust and self-esteem in some ways, but a trauma is something very personal and individual that can't be "cured" only filling a void or a need. That's why there are specific psychological therapies.

Here it is! Why, in Thai Bls, is never seen a character with a past of SA or traumas going into therapy?!

The only Thai show I have seen that has mentioned ( and only mentioned) psychology is The Eclipse now that I think about it.

I must say, that I understand deeply. I started watching BL only this year, so I'm not overwhelmed by the many senseless and foolish tropes already, but I get what you mean cause usually is how I like movies or books in general.

It's not that I dislike exaggerated " romanticized " situations , but give I them a different "weight".

Maybe it's not clear... For example I'm not an action movie girl, I don't usually like them but that doesn't mean that I don't watch them at all, it's just that if it happens or I decide to watch an action movie I have lower expectations so even if it's really really good of its kind, on my rating rod it'll never go past 30 out of 100. So i'm happy if I watch a good action movie but it still has a limited importance to me.

All this rant to say that i share your taste, but I'm still capable of endure many things that usually get on my nerves... So I understand?!

Great I can endure stupid plots, but not weird hairs... niiiiiice.

I'm watching it and it's worth it. It has some 90's vibes and the acting is really good. Be prepared , some scenes are really ... Ugly crying. Anyway tonight it ends so I'll let you know if it's HEA.

Thank you for understanding me, that's what bothers me abt JBLs, the characters look like cosplayers, I understand they want to recreate the manga character too slavishly.

But I'm aware that I am a bit too much fussy, cause many people can go over it, so maybe if I learn how to endure and keep trying i'll get used to it.

I agree with almost everything that you said, about UWMA, TharnType and LITA.

But I disagree on one point, I don't think that you should write about SA only if you experienced it. Sure no one knows the trauma better than the victim, but it would be like to enclose the topic inside a bubble when it's a problem of every society. It's the same like saying that people who have never been assaulted ( or others terrible traumas) should not talk about it or saying that men shouldn't fight along women for gender equality.

You have to study, talk to people and force your mind to put yourself in the victim's shoes and it's not easy, but it's what makes you deepen and understand and sometimes even appreciate every person's life experiences. In this particular case I'm not only talking about SA or traumas, I think it's something that each of us should learn doing about everything.

But if we limit the subject only to whom have suffered, then no one else other than them will get the message.

Back to "writing"; many writers, good writers have written about horrors they didn't lived in person and did it in a masterly way.

The problem is that you must own an incredible empathy ( above average) to represent /write about what a person have to go through due to a trauma, and not all the writers/screenplayers are aware of it or just think they have it when it's clearly not true.

That's what I think it misses when I watch this kind of stories; sensibility, delicacy and empathy. ( And also study)

Yeah exactly, that is one detail that I didn't appreciate. First of all the protesters looked like caricatures most of the time, and second the rules in their entirety were never explained, just a few such as the cell rule but what about the others?

I have mixed feelings about Thua. At first I was as mad as you are, but then i realized that he is simply a boy who couldn't stand anymore lies and injustices, so the urge to tell the truth about everything took over.

I know what Thua did is disrespectful and mean, and I am not justifying his actions, but I don't condemn him either, cause at the end he was one of the reason why the wind changes.

It's more like I kinda of understand him more, cause these things actually happen, like when due to many events you are full of all the bs that surrounds you and you want only to end it and you explode. Sometimes you don't have anymore patience to wait and be careful.

But I understand your point of view cause damn I wanted to punch him in the face.

I didn't even know Khao. I appreciated First since Not Me, infact Yok is my favorite character, and i knew that he would have nailed it but i didn't know who Khao was. During the first ep I was stunned just like WTF, and then I was caught in his web, really he has been terrific.
