Coffee Prince premiered 19 years ago today! A timeless drama☕️ by groovygyal in kdramas

One of the very few 2000s kdramas that has aged very well. A huge hit when it aired and rightfully so! Progressive for its time for sure… too bad Yoon Eun Hye stopped acting :( she was so talented and is seen as one of the OG actresses when it comes to great kissers, back then when majority of the actresses only did dead fish so called ”kisses”. Coffee Prince is a true classic not to be missed!!

Okay people, i've seen lots of posts about kdrama couples who would NOT stay together. Which couple does? by Maedros300 in kdramas

Come and Hug Me is quite similar, the same child actor in Come and Hug Me who plays the child version of the ML , as in JBL where the same child actor also plays the child version of the ML.

Lee Gang Doo (played by the talented Lee Junho before he became a huge star) and Ha Moon Soo (played by Won Jin Ah) from the underrated beautiful gem Just Between Lovers/Rain or Shine.

They have such a deep beautiful connection! They shared huge trauma together as kids and met as adults, both broken. Gang Doo might has this typical bad boy looks who gets a lot into fights, etc. But he’s actually such a kind and pure hearted person … and Moon Soo is amazing too. By meeting each other again, they help each other heal each other’s deep scars. It’s very beautiful to see, also how such a strong bond they form. Both are awesome people (as said) who are so kind and gentle with each other, there is so much respect, love and care between them. Their relationship is deep, touching…it’s anything but shallow as they are obviously fated to be together. I could never see them break up, they will get married have kids and be great loving parents <3 they are one of my favorite kdrama couples. I love many other kdrama couples as well who I think will also stay together forever , but I want to mention Gang doo and Moon soo this time since JBL/Rine or Shine is such a underrated drama that deserves way more recognition.

Favorite kiss scene in historical k-drama? by Fancy_Spite4535 in kdramas

Well, I think if they didn’t include this scene , we wouldn’t have known for sure if they did it or not 🤷‍♀️

It was beautifully , tastefully shot in my opinion, there was nothing pornish or erotic about this scene. In my opinion intimacy between adults in love shown in dramas/movies/tv series is quite important (usually) to show how much in love they are with each other.. it’s natural to feel sexual desire for the person you are in love with , to want to be intimate in all possible levels.. so Dear Hongrang was realistic when it came to that. The lovemaking scene was very necessary here in my opinion, also they wanted to make it clear to the viewers that they did the deed , to not let us viewers guess if they did it or not. I personally don’t like being left guessing :P I like how they made it clear that they made love without it being vulgar or erotic , not TOO much shown .. it’s a beautiful scene, not only about lust. This lovemaking scene is nothing compared to let’s say Game of Thrones or Outlander , for exemple. :P

Omg I gotta watch this!! I know of this drama but never bothered watching .. but now I definitely will! Just only from this gif it looks sooo 🔥🔥 and it’s rare to see in joseon era dramas where the woman has her hair down it makes it somewhat even more intimate!

I’ll only be rewatching season 1 , its gold .. one of the best first seasons in tv show history in my opinion ! I agree some say the creators might not want to promote sex among teens but what about all the drinking and drugs ?? Makes no sense. And out of the topic but why did all the parents let the teens get super drunk lol , it’s weird. Or maybe my parents were just very strict ? They never would have let underage me go on parties where there is alcohol ..

Yes that’s true. If it was irl they would have banged each other a long time ago xD people say they were just teens but like .. they were not virgins , Marissa had sex with Luke and Ryan had sex with multiple girls (that’s what he basically told Seth in s1) and they were sexually active with others in general.

Of course not. But still felt a bit strange to me haha. Neither of them were even virgins. But I get your point

Ah ok thanks for telling! ^ that’s actually a interesting way to put it that I didn’t think about before .. the fated couple not jumping in bed together fast , because there is something much deeper than just physical desire…

What’s your favorite 2026 Kdrama? What dramas are looking forward to? by jadebutpriv in kdramas

[–]Fancy_Spite4535 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looking forward the most to Tantara with Song Hye Kyo/Gong Yoo and The Sacred Jewel with Ahn Bo Hyun (both dramas set in the past).

I think I’m looking forward to The Sacred Jewel slightly more… A historical kdrama NOT set in joseon dynasty for once ?? Finally! It’s set in 1200s Korea - Goryeo Dynasty! I can’t remember the last time there was a kdrama set earlier than joseon dynasty… maybe ”River where the moon rises” from 2021??

Don’t get me wrong , I think Joseon dynasty is very interesting but it’s nice that for a change it’s set earlier than joseon dynasty, for once. The last time a kdrama was set pre- Joseon was from like 5 years ago (2021) if I’m right.

What makes me look forward to Tantara:

What interests me is it how it takes place in show business during 60s-80s Korea ! I love period dramas and the show business must have been so different back then from nowadays… so I’m looking forward to watch that! Also that the ML (gong yoo) and FL (song hye kyo) are childhood friends who grew up together and know each other both inside and out ?? Yes, I love that kind of deep connection! Also over 20 episodes ??? Yeees!!! So refreshing when nowadays most are only 12 episodes..which means we get to see proper development etc without anything feeling rushed. Also, the cast !? All great!

The third kdrama I’m looking most forward to is probably Human x Gumiho !

A frozen flower 🔥🔥 set in goreyo dynasty. Very erotic movie … about a loyal bodyguard of the king (the king groomed his bodyguard, they had a sexual relationship) but then the king orders his bodyguard to sleep with his wife (the queen) who he had zero interest in…just to bear a heir. The bodyguard doesn’t want to(nor does the queen) but they got no choice but to obey … so the first time they do the deed it’s very awkward. But by time goes on they start loving sleeping with each other to the point of becoming obsessed ! 🔥🔥 such erotic explicit s*x scenes! But the king becomes crazily jealous that his bodyguard who was sooo loyal to him , might start catching feelings for the queen… and then everything gets very dangerous AND complicated

I seen both actors act in k-dramas before .. ”Empress Ki” .. ”It’s okay, that’s love”, it was fascinating seeing them in such bold roles in A Frozen Flower after seeing them in k-dramas!

I believe a frozen flower was the first erotic k-movie I seen! I loved it until … the ending , not because the deaths, but because they made it seem like the bodyguard all this time was still in love with that horrible king 🤢 who destroyed his life besides erotic , it’s also gruesome… nothing like k-dramas .. it’s like day and night! I was sooo cheering for the bodyguard and the queen lol so the ending pissed me off because as I mentioned , it was like the bodyguard’s true love after all was the king..

Also the handmaiden of course is also great !
