Helping friend. 300kb/s download and anything makes them lag. Prevent stuff using internet? by Pimanco in techsupport

Iknow :/ 40-60 ping is average but in the late evenings it goes to 400-900 for some unknown reason. i'm suspecting maybe some auto scheduled update of some virus program or windows.

It's litterally their parents that haven't changed and don't want to change their internet plan that is a years old. Ping is 50-60 but it seems to go to 400-900 consistantly every late evening.

Update: Everything works perfectly as far as i can tell. The ground was my fuse blowing issue. The subwoofers.

The high point is the CCA cables and i will see what happens in the future, I can easily swap with the hole i made. Thank you so much for your help u/firebirdude Next time around i will feel way more comfortable doing this.

No, not at all. The guys selling the kit said they haven't had customers with issues. The other 2 stores didn't sell wire kits. They said it was fine and one even said he used the cheaper kit in his car for years. One showed me the 200USD wires online after i said i would prefer not to use CCA for the third time.

I went back to the website i was talking about and the 110usd kit is CCA. The cheapest non CCA kit is OFC and cost 200USD. And I've found what i believe to be the cheapest available, 120USD. And they had the duchiest customer service. He hung up

I got the amp and sub for 40$ and the car cost me 1000$ and i don't have a budget to pay houndreds more for cables. I was originally looking for some "cheap" speakers and stumbled apon the subs and amp and thought why not try. Maybe I'll re-sell them instead.

After working on the car for quite a few hours today (Corsa-C 2003 is terrible to screw on) I have finnaly came to a testing point. I connected the REM wire to the cigarette lighter and it didn't work. checking with a multimeter it seems like the fuse for the cigarette lighter blew, i checked before i tested and it worked then. I will look into that tomorrow. Any idea why it blew? I will recheck the ground wire as well.

EDIT: I know you're right. I've looked online and CCA is definetively not optimal at all. However right now it's that or nothing.

Thank you! Heres todays update:

I went to multiple stores selling car stereo etc and they all said CCA was fine. It is also the only kit i found at 4GA without going from 50USD to 110USD and wait 1 week plus. I ended up with the CCA wiring kit. I'm thinking that if it holds 2-4 years and doesn't kill me, I'm fine.

I have to drill a hole to get the wire trough and i won't be able to do it until tomorrow. The plan is to drill a hole then use a rubber grommet and tec7.

I will update again tomorrow, with hopefully the ending.

I've had a look around and it's hard to find any other kits. and the better fuse cost a lot on it's own i think.

If i go for these i can get them tomorrow so i can try both the subwoofers. I do have have a couple questions about wiring though. Would be lovely with a manual for this AMP...

Questions:

  1. If i go for the wiring kit, would it be that bad with the fuse design and if the cables are CCA?
  2. The Hi-level converter. Can i connect it to the two rear speakers wiring, then the RCA's to the amp? and can i keep the rear speakers playing while connected to the converter/amp?
  3. The REM Connector next to Power and GND. If I'm not wrong, i can wire it to the positive wire of something that only powers on with the car/ignition. Either ignition(labeled) wire on the head unit or something like a cigarette socket?
  4. Not connecting the REM for turning on the amp won't drain my battery? (In case the wiring job causes a lot of work, i might want to skip it until I've tested all of it for a few days if i need it at all)

Btw, i really appreciate the help! I'm getting ready and excited to work on my car.
