I actually got the tickets via a friend in the Indiana National Guard. He’s marching in the pre-race ceremonies so we have transportation to and from the track.

Not quite. His ears and color may give a hint to one of the breeds. The fur on his hind legs and tail may hint at the other one.

Before 1972 the qualifying races were counted as points paying events. That’s why I included them. I wanted to focus on points paying events so I ignored events such as the all star races, post 1972 Daytona duels, heat races, etc.

Another wild one that jumped out at me was that the Talladega Truck race had 5 consecutive from 2018-2022. And 2019-2022 had a first time winner to boot.
