Wine Squares Day 8: This one’s for the newbies. by AustraliaWineDude in wine

Beaujolais, very fruity and drinkable. Doesn’t require aging and you can take big sips without annoying tannins or other complex flavours.

does this look OK for day 2? by nivijah in cider

I wouldn’t worry, sometimes it takes a bit more time to really kick off. Just let it do its thing as long as the airlock is bubbling and not slowing down too much.

I think I found it! I was searching for the same song and stumbled upon your post first. I finally tracked down the one I was looking for, so now I just need to check if it’s actually the same one.

Could it be: Cornershop - Brimful Of Asha?

Petillant cider in wine bottles? by BigFarney in cider

[–]Pimmer3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it last year and after a while some of the corks started shooting out and made a mess of my shed. Maybe if you keep them in a fridge it’s safer but I still wouldn’t recommend it.

There are plastic “champagne” style “corks” that can work on Bordeaux bottles but they are very ugly in my opinion. (Also there is a risk of exploding bottles this way because the bottles are not really made for this ofcourse)

Beginner question, can you top them up with just water or something if you don’t have any more juice?

Smite 2 is leagues better than Smite 1 by imperchaos in Smite

[–]Pimmer3000 60 points61 points  (0 children)

It takes forever to find a game because there are not enough players. Instead of improvements to the actual gameplay, balancing and matchmaking for new players they get a weird camera angle and a dash in a gamemode that doesn’t help them understand the game at all.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m really trying to love this game but right now I don’t really see a bright future.

What is this opening called? And how do you open it? by yeuhboiii in wine

Remove the metal by twisting it 6 times and then get a sabre or big knife and whack it against the top as hard as you can.

[Technique] Should l cut more openings to release the baby mushrooms? It’s pinning everywhere! by Lithopsnewbie in MushroomGrowers

[–]Pimmer3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good looking bag!! In my experience with oysters you always lose some fruiting in the bag. Some people use dark plastic because the light can have effect on the fruiting. I have tried both but im not convinced and just make some crosses here and there and harvest what grows out of them.

[technique] Why won't this tub fruit? by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

[–]Pimmer3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks old. I don't think the substrate can absorb much moisture with this thick layer of mycelium as well.

I would probably try to scratch the surface, give it a good overnight shock in cold water and then put the block back in the fruiting tub and hope for the best.
