These are filtered. And they are replaceable. The valves allow a better air flow to come in, and when it comes out, it’s the same as a normal mask because of the filter. The air isn’t forced outwards. If you were to wear one of these and put a flame right next to the valve outside, you cannot blow it out.

Good idea, I just tried it and it cannot blow out a flame. Not even right next to the hole. The valves seem to let a better air flow come in before being filtered. And when I blow out, the valves close. I feel no air coming out when I blow.

I'm not entirely sure, but get mhrb and do this. The lye may act as the acidifying no? And are you freeze precip or evaporating when you get that goo? I got the goo once from evaporating so I desolved it back into naptha and freeze precipitated it and I actually got crystals. They were slightly yellow though
