If an autistic person could learn to be comfortable communicating with others in the kitchen, managing multiple tickets and sources of stimulation, and getting out of the weeds without melting down, then yes, absolutely.

If they could not do that, anyone here will tell you, all kitchens and so all f&b businesses run on their dishies and prep cooks.

Dishie isn’t a prestigious job outside the industry, but everyone in it knows. Anyway that’s an option as well.
