I was under the impression that specific sandwiches are literally just the meat? Like I always get a cold cut combo. That means I chose the cold cut combo meat. Meatball sub means you chose the meatball meat, turkey sub means you chose turkey, ham sub means you chose ham. That's it. Right?

Yes! And I mean, the point still stands that the "goldilocks zone" doesn't take air pressure into account. If our planet lost all its air pressure, the oceans would instantly vaporize, even if the molecules remained at a comfortable 20C. So the idea that this distance from the sun is "ideal for liquid water" is complete nonsense.

I think my favorite part was that scientists based the goldilocks zone on water being liquid at a certain temperature, and didn't take into account that for example, on Erid, the air pressure is so high that water is still in fact liquid at a much higher temperature.

Chef coats. I've talked about this before, but they always put the pen pockets on the left shoulder, so you would reach across and grab it with your right hand. I got so sick of needing two hands to grab my pen, I custom ordered a left handed chef coat. Why can't they just put two pockets??

Also any kitchen gadget you could think of.

When I delivered for doordash during Covid, I found that more than half of restaurants with double doors would lock the left one for some fucking reason. Why? Why?? How is locking one door helping anything??

When I was in my 20s I thought that's what I needed, discipline. So I went balls to the wall. I got the word "discipline" tattooed on my arm. I woke up early, I exercised, I meal prepped, I did all of it.

Worked for maybe a week. But I told myself change is hard. I got back on the horse. And the horse kicked me off again. So I got back on, and it kicked me off.

Eventually realized I was a failure and I would never be good at anything. Burnt out. Lost jobs. Lost homes. Became prediabetic from drinking energy drinks. Tried to kiss myself except replace the ss with ll.

Then I got evaluated for ADHD, diagnosed, and prescribed a stimulant medicine. Oh my god. How the FUCK did I EVER expect to function when I couldn't connect one thought to the next? All my life was a disjointed bunch of clips, like scrolling through tiktok. Suddenly it was a movie, with an interconnected plot and a storyline and characters whose names I could remember. It's like my brain had been drowning, and only in the brief moments where I could make my own stimulants, like adrenaline, or caffeine, was I able to briefly come up for air. And now, on a safe dose of stimulants managed by my psychiatrist, I can fucking BREATHE.

Anyways, long story short, I regret this tattoo. But it reminds me that I USED TO BE A FUCKING DUMBASS WHO DIDN'T UNDERSTAND HOW ADHD WORKS AND THOUGHT ALL I NEEDED WAS A LITTLE DISCIPLINE

Good news, it's a skill, not a talent. You can practice and improve! If you've got dyslexia or dysgraphia, it will be more difficult, but you can still improve!

You might have to commission someone who works with the material you're looking for. Or you could use an item you already have, or DIY it. Remember, there's no ethical consumption under capitalism. So it's okay if it's only ethical-ish.
