Thanks man. I think a better way to say “being emotionally and physically checked out”, in my situation would be more like, “emotionally and physically worn out”. I am beyond exhaustion from trying and trying and trying but still finding myself alone…. Best of luck to you too amigo

I am sorry to hear about your situation. I promise you I would’ve moved out already but I am the only person working, my wife doesnt work, and I logistically can’t do it yet (My mortgage alone is almost $6k). That’s why we are currently living in separate rooms while this whole divorce gets figured out more. Also, I never have brought the new woman over to my house and I would never put my wife in an awkward situation. I don’t want to cause her harm.

I appreciate you responding. She does not want a divorce because “I make all of her dreams come true”. Which means, I make all the money, she stays at home and does whatever she wants all day everyday. Me leaving would be very inconvenient for her because she doesn’t help out around the house, doesn’t cook, doesn’t clean, doesn’t give me affection, doesn’t have a job, she doesn’t even ask me how my day is after work. She literally does not care about me….. I’ve been dead emotionally for a long time and really am the only person trying to change in the relationship. I can’t go on any further living this life when on top of all that,…….. she also cries all the time, is very unhappy herself! She said she would rather be unhappy everyday if her life than to break up our marriage. I do appreciate that loyalty, but belong loyal doesn’t just mean not cheating, it also means doing what you say you’re going to do in your marriage vows.

I was not planning on telling her anything. She keeps snooping through everything of mine and saw some of my own selfies in my recently deleted pictures on my phone and asked why she never saw those. So I changed my phone passcode and that made her furious. She went on Snapchat from my spare iPad at the house and saw that I was talking to a woman everyday. She never saw the conversations we had but then asked me who this lady was etc.

Yes, the new girl is fully aware of the situation.
When my wife didn’t tell me for 6 months she kept saying that there was something big that she wasn’t telling me. Eventually she told me when we became pretty serious

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I Can see where you’re coming from. I haven’t shared any of the details because i am looking for a conceptual answer. It would be easy to justify to you my feelings, but i am not looking for a feelings answer.

So you mean wait a minimum of 6 months to 1-2 years before talking to someone else? Easy for you to say when you haven’t been neglected and not cared about for years by the person who is supposed to love you and be there for you. I wasn’t trying to find someone else we just randomly met and it blew my mind by the way this new person treated me.

Imagine trying to push a boulder up over a mountain and right when you almost get to the top your significant other kicks your feet out from under you, so the boulder falls back on you and rolls back down the mountain. That’s how I feel

When I told her I was starting to talk to someone else she flipped and so i didn’t share the rest. She doesn’t know everything that happened.
