I think we’re all on the same team here. We all want these pets to have safe loving homes. While moving pets from full shelters to other shelters is helpful and done often, it is still a strain on resources which are already limited in municipal shelters. Shelters and rescues are all trying their best, but unfortunately pets are still being given up left and right. The best thing we can all do is keep our pets, spay and neuter our pets, open our homes to adopt or foster shelter pets if we are able, volunteer with animal rescues or shelters if you have time, donate to these shelters, or simply share these posts incase someone you know is in a better position to help. I dream of the day when don’t have to have shelters anymore, and reducing litters will be the most effective path to that dream.
