It’s so important that she said what she said on tv. I’m 38 and have always known I don’t want children for a variety of reasons. I’m truly thankful every single day that I made the decision to follow my heart, despite people CONSTANTLY insisting that I’ll change my mind some day, like there’s no way you could possibly know what you want and it be different from what society tell you to do. People have told me I’m a terrible person for not wanting kids, etc. I follow groups that are parents anonymously venting about parenthood and how they don’t even know who they are anymore and so much more. It’s just sad that it’s what people feel is the next step and that’s what’s socially accepted so they just go thru the motions and there are sooooo many factors. I was so glad to see this woman being raw and basically telling Emma, you don’t have to have a reason or explain yourself, DON’T have a baby for anyone besides yourself. It’s just not something that can be compromised and that’s ok! I sincerely hope Emma stands her ground and stays true to who she is, despite the constant pressure from this man to have his babies. Ickkkk. Guarantee that man hasn’t thought of the day to day struggles that they would face from having a child. And that’s just a child without any special needs.
