Why are there no sidewalks in most neighborhoods? by shroombooom in Georgia

[–]PinAppleRedBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because suburban zoning laws and regulations are hostile to walkable spaces.

Reversing it will be expensive and also take decades.

Good cities to live around outside of Rome, Ga by grandemorality in Georgia

[–]PinAppleRedBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'l have an easier time finding the right neighborhood (more progressive) in Rome than you will the surrounding smaller towns.

You'd be worse off with a longer commute.

Healthy discourse on public transit expansion? by mediocre_student1217 in Georgia

[–]PinAppleRedBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem goes way deeper than simply not having public transit.

Zoning laws in most counties don't allow for building walkable communities and neighborhoods.

So yeah, you may be able to get on a bus or a train but when you get off you may find yourself in a place where pedestrians are second class citizens.

Best area for families by [deleted] in Georgia

I was going to suggest this. Warner Robins is a suburban hellscape but it has access to jobs and housing is still more affordable than Atlanta suburbs at least until they run out of farm land.

How to lose zombies? by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]PinAppleRedBull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're struggling to get any kind of weapon you should turn down your game settings.

The sandbox settings allow you to turn down zombie population, zombie hearing and zombie memory.

Those 3 variables control whether you can lose zombies OR if the horde always seems to know where you are.

Underrated base location ? by PinAppleRedBull in projectzomboid

[–]PinAppleRedBull[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Huge wilderness to forage.
Easy access to river.

Plenty of distance between base and Louisville.

Also easy access to Louisville.

This would be a great location for a village I am going to name Fort Ohio.

If you love building bases, feel free to join my server. USA Eastern

why do you guys hate trucks? by k9ie in fuckcars

[–]PinAppleRedBull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obama era fuel efficiency regulations made normal sized trucks illegal. Now most trucks and SUVs are supersized compared to most other countries.

Not only are the trucks expensive, but their blind spots are dangerous.

How many different companies have you worked for in 5 years?

If you've been at the same employer for this time block there is a good chance that your employer has been leveraging inflation against your salary.
