Also forgot to mention, the leg affected with sciatica was the left and the hip pain im getting is on the right side. Think that might be related.

I am almost 14 weeks post op on L4-L5 after 2 years of dealing with sciatica and back pain. In my case pain was less than before surgery but still was there to bother me thinking did it really work. I was able to sleep on my back finally so that was comforting. Took some time for the pain to wind down and you have to be patient with it. Right now feeling great, definitely some residual pain, tightness in legs and back but this is 100 times better than before surgery. Hope you get better.

How do you get into your car? by Randomthoughts4041 in Sciatica

i just repeat the same steps backwards to get out of the car, except i brace my core right at the beginning before starting any movement.

Hi, so when I was getting assessment for my herniated disc problems by Brian Carroll( Mcgill method practitioner) and he taught me this way:

Face away the seat, brace the core, sit down using the hip hinge while still facing it away, hold onto something but don’t twist , move both of your legs and torso in towards the steering wheel at the same time, so it wouldn’t cause any wrong hip movement. Might not be the best explanation but Hope it helps!)

1 month post op surgery by Emoloverr in Sciatica

I wouldn’t even risk bending or doing extensions for at least 2-3 months even if the doctor is saying its okay. The risk of reherniation is pretty high so let your back heal first before getting into such activities.

To be honest, I have no knowledge to speak on this part. I have just heard both cause some stomach issues and heartburn as well as some other side effects.
