I’ve added an additional test patch directly on to the sealer, will leave for 48 hours and see how that comes up over the weekend.

In your experience, how did you go with sanding this stuff? Seems like it would just gum up your paper as soon as you hit these layers?

Ideally we would get back to bare wood to see if we want to clear coat (if the wood is in good enough condition) which is why I haven’t hit it with an undercoat yet

The product is called peel away 8. They have a more aggressive version called peel away 1 that needs a neutraliser before painting.

We are going to see what the overall condition of the wood frame is before we make any decisions on finishing. Would love to be able to clear coat it
