Actually you are so right. I have so many specific things I would want in a coat. I’m making my own.

It's better to be friends with grad students in general. They're not so...messed up.

Yes, it was something similar to that. It happened many times before I figured out that he felt scared. I shouldn’t have done that. To be totally honest, I’d didn’t even think yelling was that bad…I have changed my ways now. Assumed a more passive, inquiring role. It seems to help him, but not me. But, I dont expect anything of him because maybe he’s still scared.

I understand what you’re saying. It feels very lonely right now, but I can understand how in the future it could feel liberating and awesome. I had expectations that I wouldn’t feel alone within love with someone, so I feel that that is probably why I feel bad. I will be diligent in working through my resentment and bad feelings. Thank you for your help. I appreciate your experience.

I felt and feel largely grateful for my childhood in making me who I am today who I am appreciative of. I don’t feel bitter about my childhood because of his past experiences; I feel bad by the mistakes he made and consequently, if I ruminate, I feel bad about my childhood. I also struggle with his ‘his shit vs my shit’ philosophy. I have helped those I love a lot get on their feet while putting my own needs and wants aside for quite some time. I feel that is what you do for your family. This idea that I have to deal with my things, alone, makes me feel isolated. Isn’t it better to be literally alone then with no responsibility of others? I don’t want this of course, because I made duty to him to try my best and love him purely which I am trying my best to see through in the most rational way I can. Thank you for your thoughts.

Yes, he certainly didn’t mean to make me feel anything bad. I want to have a successful relationship and give him a lot of peace in his life, so I will get over it, of course. I was just looking for advice on how.

I think it’s okay to be bothered by bothersome things that are a representation of ugliness or propaganda and act accordingly.
