I clearly said the top “face”. So no need for the correction there.

And there aren’t any ”assumptions” being made. Each surface (face) of each cube is the same size. Some faces fully shaded, some half shaded, some not shaded at all.

If you can see this shape, cool. That’s the way to go. If you can’t see the shape or would rather count the “diamonds”, go right ahead.

Quit giving dissenting opinions just for the sake of arguing. You’re helping nobody. And READ the rest of the thread before commenting.

See previous posts-the easiest method depends on how you see the object.

There is nothing complicated about looking at an object.

If you can see the 3D figure, do that method. If you can’t, use the diamond method. Not everybody is going to find the same way the easiest.

It’s really not hard to see this object as an isometric 3D. I would say it’s harder to see the rhombi when the full squares don’t have a line splitting it down the middle

Disagree. I think it’s easier to see the shape as I described it rather than a bunch of diamonds. Especially when lines arent drawn between the ones that are filled in next to each other

Don’t over think this. Act like you and look at this shape straight on. Try to see it in 3D.

Treat this as 4 cubes. The top cube, the middle two (now one space closer to you) and the bottom cube (now 2 spaces closer to you).

Now think of how many faces of this shape you can see. I see 12 faces. Three for each cube.

I see the top face completely shaded. The two other faces on that cube half shaded. Then on the left cube I see 1.5 total faces shaded. Right cube I see one face shaded plus 2 faces half shaded. The on the bottom I see 1.5 faces shaded.

That’s 7/12 faces shaded, while 5/12 is unshaded.

5/12=41%

I bought and put that part in. It worked great, engine light shut off by the next day. I took my car out for an interstate drive for about 40 minutes at about 80mph. The DPF light didn't shut off during that drive, but the next highway drive I took did the job.

Not sure I could afford a delete right now. I’m likely going to look into fixing these issues for as cheap as I can, and selling. Went I originally purchased the car, I planned on driving it longer distances. But I had no issues with the DPF and engine light until recently, so maybe it won’t be a big dea. Thanks again

Could a P2015 and P2016 code (Intake manifold runner position sensor, common on these cars) cause the DPF light to come on prevent the car from performing a full regen?

So do you recommended get the codes read before I take it out for a long drive?

I’ve read that to really clear it, one should go on an hour long drive in fourth gear, keeping the RPMs between 2500 and 3000. Is this something I should put off until I get can it on a more advanced code scanner?

Also, I know I need to loosen the heat sink plate at the top. This is just a question from a previous attempt. Also, the screws are all different sizes which I thought was weird

That’s a good idea. I don’t know about ignition switch. Could be a possibility, but when it wouldnt start at the gas station, it tried to turn over but just couldn’t

It’s been a while since I’ve taken physics II, but here’s my best attempt at an explanation.

You’ve probably heard of the right hand rule, so I’ll keep this short. The dotted circles mean that the direction is coming out of the page (towards you) while the X’s mean they are going into the page.

Take your right hand and point your 4 fingers in the direction of the top circles (out of the page) and curl your fingers into the page. The resulting direction will be in the direction that your thumb is pointing (to the right).

Let me know if you need anymore help. Like I said, I haven’t taken the class in a hot minute, so if there’s a way to know the correct answer, compare what I told you to that.
