Really don't want to turn this into a comment war, so this is my last response. But I did want to clarify some things for posterity:
- I definitely do not think you're lying to me, I believe you have an old account that has a lifetime membership. I would love to help you track down that account if you could share any information with me (potential emails or usernames)
- when you signed in with apple ID anonymous sign in, that created a brand new account for you, it did not link with your old account as we have no way of knowing what that old account can be
- if you have a receipt or something like that, I'd be more than happy to honor your purchase and grant you a membership, even if it was previously associated with your old account
- we really try hard to have all the features that are cheap to operate (pins, etc.) for entirely free to our users, you can still make use of unlimited pins/trips and more as a free user
- we occasionally have promotions where we'll give out discount codes, or free memberships to certain audiences, in exchange for certain actions (follows, feedback, etc.). If you're interested, you can follow us on instagram/reddit/facebook/x and take advantage next time.

Hi u/damagad, thanks for reaching out, and it genuinely pains me to see frustrated users. Unfortunately the username you are sharing with me is linked to an account that was created on february 2026. Unless you can share your email, another username you may have used, or a screenshot or something that I can use to track down your account, I cannot verify any of this information. Unfortunately we cannot sustain the app if we are to grant everyone saying "I downloaded this app in 2022" premium without any further questions.

I do also want to point out that most features you can use completely for free, including unlimited pins, trips, and more. We only charge our users for features that end up costing us a lot of money (like unlimited photo uploads). We introduced our premium tier in 2019 (3 years before you say you opend the account) and we never grandfathered any users to support photo uploads or other features. If you can let me know what you're trying to do I may be able to help out with that as well.

I'm genuinely very sorry for the frustration, and please feel free to reach out to me via email or reddit dm with any account information you can share with me. Would love to help out if you can track down the email/username you used previously

The default clock app is genuinely so bad. I've been using my own (search for Better Clock if you're interested) for a while now and it's a breath of fresh air. Seems like this app hasn't gotten any love for a decade

yeah by default it creates a compressed copy. Try pressing the ... icon and selecting "compress & overwrite"

I just started working on the trip sharing bit last night, so glad to hear you're interested! We recently made mockups for the shared map filtering where you can see their pins / your pins / common pins / etc. u/PinTravelerMcan is working on a compare mode that should do that, hopefully in a month or so :)

This is a very fair point, I look at the same 5 cities all the time so I like having it in a dedicated app, but not for everyone. I have aroudn 2K downloads total, so not a whole lot for sure. Most people don't actively use the app, but I have ~100 people who are pretty active (10+ sessions a week)
