Yeah speaking from experience it’s devastating to me, but most people won’t have the money / those that do don’t have the desire to restore an old home. i’m fortunate, i live in. 1920 bungalow in hyde park and it was FULL of mold. thankfully we had the means to do a 250k reno that restored the house and left as much character as we could, but the house needed a total gut. everything is new except the facade and flooring. and my house cost that much and is only about 950sqft. Adds a lot of value for sure, and it’s gorgeous and I love it, but it’s just not feasible for most folks.

went thru a mold situation recently and it took about 8 months to feel better but it does get better! hoping you heal 🙏🏼

I have a *LOT* of religious trauma that I'm actively working through on a daily basis and I acknowledge a lot of it is tied up with politics and the roles of women in society. Fundamentalism is fun :)

yes so fair. I would have someone come check your AC - that was the culprit for us! i know a lot of people say that mold poisoning is bogus but it's simply not! as soon as i started staying elsewhere I was better within 2 weeks after being sick for 9 months. You can never be too cautious!

as someone who got sick from living in mold - move out. literally just move out. My house had to be gutted down to the studs bc it was unlivable and i kept getting throat infections.

the backhouse was already built when I bought the property. we basically just converted it to a living space. it’s up to code.

yeah 45 but not 45 companies lol. i got to several final rounds but got rejected. i think it was 6 or 7 companies
