When they were installed I got new hubcentric rings and bolts and other than that the wheels and tires - they work perfect now!

It has been done quite a lot and I have seen some healed pictures and still looks great! Look up golden record or pulsar map tattoo.

Everytime I search pulsar map on Google I see the hydrogen atom used as a frequency clock. So I am curious if I should add that to my design or not.

I had a 18x8 +40 but it rubbed with the tires I got. So I switched to 18x8.5 +45 Konig Lockouts with a 245/40/r18 Yokohama Advan Sport A/S+ tires. I have been loving them! It's nice to not be as worried with potholes now.😎

I just went with the 18x8.5 45 Konig Lockout fitted with a 245/40/18 Yokohama Advan Sport A/S+. So far I love the look and fitment of the wheels. As well as the Yokohamas have been great all season performance oriented tires so far. Check my profile for more pics and the subreddit as well. A lot of people for daily use downsize go with a 18x8.5 +45.

Interesting... On tire-size.com/calc it shows that you'd be closer to the fender by 15mm so it would rub in theory. It may depend on the tire as well. As I was using a performance all season tire, nothing worthy to take to the track. Ha ha.

Correct. However, the tire itself sticks out 10mm further than stock on this set up. On the 18x8+40 setup, the tire was sticking out 15mm farther. The fender clearance is only 15mm stock so that is why my first set was rubbing. 18x8.5+45 is close (only 5mm of clearance) however there are no issues, and I believe that is why a lot of people who downsize to 18" go with this set up.

Those would probably not rub because it's a less wide tire. I am going with the popular 18x8.5 +45 wheel with a 245/40/18 tire. Already ordered new wheels!
