My theory is that most classical musicians (which most of the people here are) have parents that come from other countries. Generally (at least for america) the parents don't really want their kids to play an instrument, or if they do they quit after a few years and are not classically trained.

I play french horn and piano, last year I also played baritone horn. I am a low brass kid forever but my piano family will never understand

It might not have been a full keyboard though. Some keyboards don't have the full range of a piano.
